Well, the trip to Utgard turned out to be a little more enlightening than we expected, I guess. I will admit the spy is useful alive in terms of the chance to get information from him. But I wouldn't have completely disagreed if these Gods had decided to execute him. We've dealt with spies and such before, back home and it didn't end well.

But, enough about that. More importantly, I guess I should be figuring out about this whole 'power' thing or whatever. I'm in Baldr, if that helps at all. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me figure this all out. This is all still kind of new to me, even if I get the idea behind it.

Also, if anyone is up for joining me at the bar later, I'll buy you a drink. I think after all this we need one. Those of us who are old enough, anyway.

Define 'old enough'.

Age is relative.

I mean not obviously a kid who wouldn't handle their liquor and isn't ten years old or something. Well, I don't know about here if they let kids drink but I know we didn't back home at least. I'd say you're old enough though.

We are allowed to drink wine around ten--though I think anyone would frown on them getting drunk.

I see. I guess there is something to be said for moderation in that sense then. But as for me, I only drink to excess. Ten would definitely be a bit young to be drunk though.

When he enters the bar, Kara can be found having a go at the shooting video game on the second floor. She apparently got distracted since her arrival and wasn't sure what the other guy might want to drink so was waiting until she ordered for when he arrived. She seems like she is having fun though, laughing as she plays and shoots the 'rifle'. A different gun than she had in her military service, but still a gun all the same. It was merely fun practice, though even in practice she is a pretty good shot, her laughing drawing some glances in her direction.]

[He scanned the occupants of the bar and spotted her easily. He tilted his head at her with a gun in her hand and made his way over rather gracefully. He knew how to approach a respectable woman and even a feisty one. Tyki was dressed just as he said he would. His hair was pulled back like usual even in the long strands that held it there. Portuguese skin with black eyes that held a hint of gold, the scars were an easy sign that he was who he was.] Nice shot.

[ooc: Yeah I figured since they would be turned human the stigmata wouldn't be there on their foreheads in Asgard! I've read a fair bit through DGM. Should be a pic or link to her tattoos in her journal if you were curious btw.

[Kara glances over when she notices him approaching out of the corner of her eye, taking in the clothes and scars, just as he had described. Her lips pull into an easy, self-confident smirk as she puts the gun back down. The game was just finished anyway, and now he was here she could get a drink. She runs a hand through her short blonde hair, her tattoo as she then reaches to shake his hand.] Thanks. Glad you found the place okay. I'm Kara, by the way.

[ooc: I was just making sure. Had a few discrepancies so far with a couple of people thinking they were there. Some being the sole reason they even tagged in and was just double checking!]

[He grins small at the way she smirks. He slides his hand out to take hers and shakes it in greeting. Interesting. There would be no kiss on the hand or former bows to this lady. While he could be a gentleman, Tyki had a lot of other mannerisms as well.] Tyki. Looking at you, I think I'll be the one buying the drinks~

[Ah okay. I don't see why they would -only- tag because of that but I understand if you want to be clear and avoid misunderstandings.]

[Kara can't help but be perhaps amused at how formal his clothes appeared and yet he could obviously tell she wasn't particularly fussed about manners and formality in being treated like a 'lady'. She takes his offered hand and shakes it, her grip firm but not too crushing, hands slightly rough from her helping with mechanical repairs and flying the vipers back home. There's a small quirk of her eyebrow, raising one in amusement at his offer to pay for the drinks] I wouldn't have any complaints there if you've got the money.

[ooc: Me either but that what was said in PMs. Anyways, no misunderstandings.]]

[His hand lingered for a moment to feel those rough patches on her hand. He thumbed over his shoulder when he got his hand back at the actual bar that wasn't but a few feet away. His world didn't have any majorly advanced flying vehicles like hers.] I got the money. I get around.

If you have the money, I have the thirst. [She agrees, following to the bar and taking a seat, looking over the drink selection and contemplating. This really was so much better than back home, in regards to the food and drink at least. She can't help but relish in the choice. One elbow and arm at the table and the other crossing over a little, covering a bit of her wedding tattoo on her arm.]

Definitely a better selection than back home. I'm used to just downing crap vodka mostly. [Which burns as it goes down but does the job in terms of the alcohol in getting her drunk and numb, at least.]

Just what I want to hear. [Not that he was hoping for anything later. Just a drink with a good looking woman was enough right now. He'd had his share in Utgard. Taking a seat next to her, he'd lean forward and rest both arms against the edge of the placement, getting comfortable. His eyes couldn't help but roam over the distinguishing marks on her body.]

It's actually a little surprising or at least I think it is. From what I hear from most the gods keep all the good stuff to themselves.

[She gives a small shrug at the mention of the gods. Kara is still not sure what to make of the gods, given how different they were to the ones she believed in back home. Certainly there was no sign of the familiar Artemis or Aphrodite she prayed to, at least. No Apollo. These gods were different from the ones she grew up believing in.]

So long as it means I get a drink with alcohol, I could care less right now if they keep the good booze for themselves.

Balder is flight isn't it?

I think that is one of the possible powers with Baldr, yeah.

Hey Kara. I'd like to know more about these powers too. Mind if I join you for a drink?

These days I don't mind drinking until I pass out either.

Hey yourself. Feel free to come and meet at the bar if you're up for it. I can't promise we'll get people with our specific house or powers but I figured it was worth looking into at least.

Good to know I'm not the only one then.

Maybe even just talkin' it out between us will help, if nothin' else.
