Hey hey- quick question guys. So I've talked to a few people over the past couple weeks, and I'm getting the idea that a lot of you aren't too keen on the whole 'murdering your fellow man' thing. Which totally surprises me, since I thought we were pulled here to murder things! Or fight a war, I guess.

So this is a little informal poll!

Uh- how many of you have killed someone before? Of your own species, or close enough! Cold blood, warm blood, lots of blood- method or reason don't really matter.

If you want to give details, that'd be awesome.

--I guess I should start, though, huh? I've killed loads of people. Like a lot! [More laughter.] Buuut my world's had at least two wars just in my lifetime, so there's never been any shortage of targets, nya ha ha!

I mean serious like- I'm not kidding about all the death. It's super fun, and I have a great time with it, but that doesn't mean I'm not taking it seriously. I just love my work!

Nothing wrong with being normal, too! Someone's got to mind the sheep or... whatever it is normal people do.

How can death be fun?

Ever pulled someone's brain out through their eyes? Or twisted someone's arm around until you hear everything snap, while they're screaming and crying at you to stop? Ooor how about blasting someone through the heart so quickly and thoroughly that they just flop over without ever realizing what happened?

You can't really beat the feeling you get from all that!

For a long while, there's nothing from Asahi's side. It's a good thing she can't actually drop the bracelet because she would have dropped any other kind of communication device. This is a nightmare, right, this is-- ]

Y.. you're insane..! Even if it's a joke, you're still insane to say something like that to begin with!

Probably. I'm totally serious, though! ...But I'm guessing you didn't actually want the details of why it's fun? Whoops. Nya ha!

O-of course I don't, I just.. [ She just doesn't get it. That's really it when it comes down to it.. ]

People like that just don't exist, right..?! Sure, people hurt each other, but there's nobody who likes killing others, right?!

Hey, I totally exist! I think. I definitely love killing though.

I'm not special either, but I guess most people get into the army because they care about their country or something. Or because it's the only steady work they can find.

Not me, though! I'm one of those folk who just love the job. You really are just a normal villager, huh?

This guy is totally nuts. Totally. Nuts. She has no other explanation for it. So.. well, all Asahi can do in her surprise is do what she does best.

Of course it would work out! C-criminals like you are supposed to be locked up so you won't hurt anyone!

Aw, but we're on the same side! We were all brought here to kill the bad guys, right?

You're not supposed to like the killing part..! It's just about.. about doing what's right, about defeating the bad guys, not killing them! You're getting it all backwards to begin with! [ And it gives her the creeps.. ]

I really don't get that part. If there's going to be killing, what's wrong with enjoying it? Seems sort of complicated to tie yourself up in knots about doing what you have to. And if the other guys want us dead, you kinda don't have much of a choice.

But when you enjoy it, it's another thing entirely! We're talking about taking other people's lives!

I guess I'm a little selfish. Killing guys feels good, so I look for places that it's acceptable.

That's not called being selfish, that's called being a psycho! Nobody else thinks killing feels good..!

What does that have to do with being a villager or whatever?! I come from the city!

Sorry, I just mean you must be from a really peaceful sorta place! And you're in the business of doing the city version of tilling fields, not chopping heads.

If you think about it like that, it makes sense you wouldn't come across people like me. Unless you were reeeally unlucky and ran into some crazy spree killer, nya ha!

[ She bites back at the last moment to stop herself from mentioning that there's plenty of spree killers in this place, even if she's never met them before.. ]

Sure, I know there's people out there like that.. but that means you're one of them too if you compare yourself to them! And those people are locked up!

Aw, I'm not that bad! I have morals and things. Even if they're a bit weird... But I wouldn't kill you! We're on the same side!

[ .. Man, she still can't help but shudder.. despite him saying that, she still doesn't trust him. Mostly since she has trust issues to begin with and Henry being.. well, Henry doesn't really help it. ]
