[The dark haired guy is scowling now before raising an arm-- and promptly elbowing the blond in the gut.]

Chakra's a new one to me, but mutations, magic, whatever else - it's all gone. The stories are all different, but everyone agrees that your own natural abilities'll mess you up if you get them back.

[A snort.]

Not many people seem to get that even with a war going on, a kidnapped army'll be a lot easier to control if the gods decide what powers we get and how strong they can be. Or that melting a few heads is a great way to keep people not questioning the stories.

As it stands we're nothing but pawns in a fight that has nothing to do with us, without the ability to properly resist them.
