[ When the feed comes on, Allison's in the process of taking a final braid out of her hair with her right hand (since her bracelet's on the left). She's surrounded by various animals, all of which seem perfectly content to be beside her although they're definitely not the domestic sort. ]

Is anyone else dealing with this? Animals following them everywhere, I mean? [ Curses happen here, she knows that (hello baby Scott), but she's wondering if this is city-wide or if she's just lucky. ] If not, has anyone dealt with it before? I'd really like to-- [ A couple birds come into the shot and start braiding her hair again, which causes her to let out an annoyed sigh. ] This has been happening all day... Can someone just tell me how to get rid of them?

[ She tries to shoo them away with her hand - carefully, of course, so she doesn't accidentally smack them or anything - but they just dodge her and continue braiding. So she rolls her eyes and goes to turn off the bracelet only to remember something else she'd wanted to ask. ] I was also wondering if there's a record of the longest someone's ever stayed asleep here. Jo hasn't woken up in a while and even though I don't mind helping cover for her at the Roadhouse, it'd be nice if she would wake up. [ It's a little freaky, too. ]

[He leans back from the feed, taking a moment to look around - out the window, toward the door of his room.]

Nope. Do you smell weird?

[gymnast]

No. [ And that's a rude question! ] I smell exactly like I do every other day and this has never happened before. [ Except with Greenberg, but that's different since he belongs to her and Scott. ]

[Rules that one out then.]

You sure it ain't happened before? This place seems kinda--

It's never happened to me, and no one's told me if it's happened to anyone else yet. [ One of the birds, now that they're done braiding her hair, lands on her shoulder while the other flies off screen. ]

Hit it with a rolled up paper.

[This has sometimes even worked for hellhound puppies. But maybe that's because Leah intimidates, and not the paper itself.]

[gymnast]

I don't... have a newspaper. And even if I did, I really don't think hitting it would help. [ They're adorable animals, they're just frustrating; Allison doesn't want to hurt them. ]

If it works on hellhounds, it should work on anything else.

[gymnast]

Hellhounds? [ She remembers those from Jo's dream when she managed to end up in the other girl's nightmare. ] These are domesticated animals, though. I don't think they would understand.

[He hasn't been able to talk to her in a long, long, time so instead of just answering her question, he turns on the video and grins at her.]

You should let them finish the braid, it's cute.

[gymnast]

[ A faint blush spreads across the bridge of her nose and her cheeks but aside from that, she's not going to acknowledge his comment. ]

When did you get back, Finnick?

A few days ago? Maybe a week at the most. I thought Scott would have told you..

[He grins and shakes his head.]

He must be on to us.

[gymnast]

[ She laughs quietly and shakes her head. ] I guess so. [ It's entirely possible Scott did tell her and it just slipped her mind, or she didn't fully process it. She's been busy. ]

Are you settling in okay? ...again?

I hate to say I told you so but... [ He did tell her so. He's trying not to laugh at what the birds are doing because as amusingly adorable as it is to him, it's obviously starting to bug her a bit. ] They're really determined to braid your hair...

[ His face becomes a little more serious at the last part of her video. ] How long has Jo been asleep?

[ It really, really is.

She gives him a ~look~ at the first part, but it's got an edge of amusement to it, even if she definitely is frustrated with the animals. ] They are, and it's getting really old. They've been doing it almost all day, too.

About thirty days, I think? I'm not really sure, but it's been a long time. I'm worried about her.

What-- [ Her brow furrows and she glances down at herself, wondering if she missed something. But no, there's no glitter on her. ] What are you talking about?

Well, animals like shiny things, so you must be pretty shiny to be the Mother of the Forest Animals.

Really? [ Allison looks, strangely enough, a little relieved to hear that. ] I was starting to think I was the only one.

There are a variety of animals who seem to think I am their leader.

I'm being careful! [ Geez. Overreact much? ] I'm not going to hurt them, I just want them to leave me alone.

I'm just saying. There's plenty of people who hurt animals without thinking of it, I can't stand those. [ But then again, this person does seem a little genuine about what she's saying. ]

Why are they flocking to you like that either way? Do you have food with you?
