Hey.

I need a volunteer to test out some runes for me.

It might be dangerous, but I'm sure it won't do much.

I'll pay you and teach you some more if you want to learn.

Also the same goes for someone to teach me how to use a bow.

I'll be updating the runes book at the magic guild.

There's some you'll have to come to me to learn.

[A pause before he keeps writing:]

God-given powers or their original powers? Because I don't think either would work. [He taps the sword with the tips of his fingers while his other hand goes to pull out a vial of runic ink and a brush from his pocket.]

There's stun and flip-foot, which are abilities from my world, but I wouldn't count them as something I can control. I also tried making different types of arrays that could make bullets out of energy, but one didn't work and another broke the gun.

God-given. Still, it wouldn't hurt to try it. I don't even know what my original powers could do, I'm not about to risk anything I was told was highly destructive on a blind test. [He leans back on the bench and thinks about it. Yeah. Hell no on his own powers.] And I was sure our own powers would kill us if we used them?

I doubt it? You might want to try asking Jade or John about that though. They'd probably know more about that. Anyways, wouldn't you just revive afterwards if you did die?

[He has to think about the god powers though. It wouldn't hurt to try, but it would probably be really tricky.] The problem with trying to apply the god powers to the runic magic is because they come from two different sources of magic.

I see. [Two different sources of magic. Interesting. Dirk processes that and sits back, eyes on the binary writing.] Is it like oil and water? Or, is there a possibility of introducing a medium to make it possible?

Like a current converter.

I wouldn't say oil and water. It's more like the runic magic can't copy what you can do with the gods' powers. I'd say the limit would be that if the runic magic does make some use of the gods' powers, then it would also be limited to which to users that are gifted with the power that's being copied. [He shrugs a bit.] But that's only a theory-- the runic magic may not be able to copy the other at all.

What about allowing the user to channel their god power into a device or weapon? Possibly being able to charge an energy storage array, that sort of thing.

Hmmm...Maybe. It really depends on what you're trying to go for specifically. Like, if it's a fire or ice sword that you're trying to make, that's not going to work.

Nah. I was thinking of a channel to send my power out to form words on a farther surface. Or just to ice patch something farther away. Basically just testing the limits.

Definitely out of the question then. If you want to do something like that, you'll have to wait till you level up.

But would it be possible after I level up to channel power like that?

Hmmm...One second. [He actually has to remember Castiel's power document, so he has to concentrate for a moment.]

As far as I know, you'd be able to coat objects with ice and create icicles. You'd have to test it out yourself when you get to that point.

What about level three? [If ??? can remember this stuff, he wants to know what's ahead.]

Weapons can be made out of ice, items can be completely frozen, and freezing power has more range. So it'd give you what you want.
