[ He's at once surprised and unsurprised his diversionary tactic works (who wears a ballgown to a fight???) but either way he'll waste no time following through with a swing of that great, heavy sword of his. It's stopped a good feet shy of actually striking her by some invisible force though, and he grits his teeth and adjusts his stance to bear down upon her, pitting muscle power against brain power, trying to force his way through. It's a bit of a risky move, though. While he's braced steadfastly at the front, he's leaving himself vulnerable to being toppled from behind should she choose to send anything else flying his way. ]
