[ The video feed turns on to a rather nervous-looking girl in her late teens, though that nervousness is momentarily replaced by a grin. After all, she finally figured out how to work this thing properly. Figuring something out is always something worth celebrating, at least for Twilight Sparkle.

Still, her somber expression returns. ] I wanted to thank everypony who helped me out when we all first arrived. I've gotten much better at walking since then! Really. [ Because obviously they won't believe her unless she adds in that "really." ]

But... [ And this is really where she looks worried again... ] has anypony been outside today? There's clouds out there, and I am one-hundred percent certain nopony put them there. They're even moving all on their own...!

But nopony else has even mentioned it! Don't you all find this strange?!

[ Twilight bites her bottom lip for a moment, but presses on. ] It's strange enough that the sun and moon can rise without Princess Celestia or Princess Luna, but... do you suppose the patron gods are doing all of it? Raising the sun, and the moon, and moving the clouds... creating the weather...?

[ And finally, a large sigh. ] Really, this is such a strange place.

Sweetie Belle is the little sister of a good friend of mine, though.

She asked me to look for her.

She has every right to be worried about her sister. But I haven't heard from her at all since arriving here.

It'll probably take a while for people to get settled down and find each other. Hopefully things will calm down a little once they do.

It would be good for Rarity if her sister were to come here. It would be good for poor Apple Bloom, too.

But I'm not sure how the gods here choose who to bring.

Is Apple Bloom one of your friends too...? [ geez there are a lot of ponies, keeping track of them all sure will be too. ]</small. That's true. And more people seem to be showing up every day.

She's just a young filly... she's the little sister of another one of my friends.

She and Sweetie Belle are almost inseparable.

[ he might need to draw a chart to keep track of this stuff. ]

And you're all... uh... ponies, right? Or used to be.

That's right. Rarity and I were both unicorn ponies, and Applejack and her sister were earth ponies.

What's the difference between a unicorn pony and an earth pony?

[ She's actually a little surprised by his question. Nopony's asked her to explain what unicorns are, so she assumed that humans were familiar with them, even if not the kind that could speak like her and the other unicorns in Equestria.

Still, she's a scholar, and it's almost a civic duty to explain things to the ignorant. ]

Well, unicorns are ponies with a horn on their forehead. [ Since it's on video, she gestures to the center of her forehead with a hand. ] Our horns allow us to use magic that other ponies can't.

Then you have pegasi, which is plural for pegasus. They all have wings, and can manipulate the weather.

And then you have earth ponies, who don't possess horns or wings. They do possess an innate connection with the earth, though, which makes them very good at agriculture and taking care of the animals.

[ he just quietly listens as she explains.

he knew well enough about unicorns having horns and pegasi having wings, but the rest is surprising. so certain ponies can use magic, and others can't? that all seems quite interesting.

or rather, it probably would be, if they still had their powers even here. regardless, he does enjoying learning about them. ]

I didn't know there were so many differences between different kinds of movies. That's... pretty cool.

So from what you said before... where you come from, unless the pegasi control the weather, nothing happens...?

Yes, that's right.

There are a few other creatures who can manipulate the weather, to some degree, but none as much as the pegasi.

Normally weather is just a natural phenomenon.

No one controls it. At least, where I come from.

[ A small sigh. ]

That seems to be the case for just about everypony here.

Different worlds are all pretty... [ he pauses, looking for a different word, before just giving up. ] ...different.

But that goes without saying. Do you think the weather here might be magically controlled too...?
