So it is true. Calenders and watches are completely useless -- as it stands that is common knowledge in this world. Curious, isn't it? Is it on purpose we are not allowed to tell time? Even the days almost seem to blur together. What other reason would time and seasons not exist?

Your human seasons make debatable sense to me to begin with. I have learned not to be too concerned about the differences here.

Different planets, different seasons, different life cycles. One would think that rather obvious, yes?

Simpleton? Hardly. You cannot be blamed for the deficiencies of your homeworld.

[Because that was SO much better, Equius.]

Perhaps once it is a conquered state. But for now, I am content with what I have visited.

I doubt it's meant to be something we're to pay any attention to. If anything, perhaps we're supposed to consider how we could unlock those things eventually. Like rewards in video games.

We can't tell time, really? Well, aside from just being able to say it's morning or evening.

Hmm... if there's no clocks currently, what if someone made one, I wonder?

Sounds to me like it's a way to keep us confused and stuck in place.

Something tells me, we're not the only two even.

The way I see it, you could consider it part of the whole notion of a heaven, or of a god's realm. Surely more worldly matters like time or season don't translate.

Oh, I never said it was a nicety. There's nothing good about not being able to tell the time.

Hey, don't give them ideas to stop doing that. I like a setting and rising sun.

This realm does have a calendar of its own, having recently celebrated its new year for the second time since Travellers arrived. But if you happen to come from one of the many Earths, then the calendar you know would serve you little.

To my knowledge they seem to number twenty-four, but who can say for certain other than the natives themselves?

Calenders are useless? Since when...?

[He's still new here, relatively. Someone was just going on about a holiday though, so there had to be some form of..day-counting.]

Right, but time travel by itself doesn't make sense.

It's an entirely different world, you can't expect time to work exactly the same.

Because it doesn't have exactly the same orbit around the sun as the Earth has around its own nor does it spin around its own shoulder at the same speed the Earth does.

[Hugo feels like he should be offended on behalf of watches...but it is not like it isn't true.]

This isn't the only world where people can't tell time.

[Yes. Good argument.]
