Teasure 17 ❊ Video/Action Freyr welcome hall.

I have a question for you all. A few weeks ago, I had a little trouble with my newest array, it is suppose to create magically moving chests that follow around their owners. Instead, I seem to have tapped into some life magic with this one. The chests instead of floating a few feet off the ground grew feet and became quite lively. They didn't exactly follow around the owner part of the array either.

While I still don't know what's making them grow legs, I have figure out what is keeping them from following their directions! [What was the problem he isn't going to say now.]

Now I have a new problem, I'm hoping you all can help me with it. I did a lot of playing around with this rune array, trying to figure out the source of the legs on quite a few chests. More than I'll ever need.

So would any of like a magical chest? [Suddenly there is a bang at the door accompany by a few scratching sounds. The child glances at the door before turning back. He didn't look too concerned, he just pouts.]

....before I forget I had some help with figuring out the main problem, he ended up applying an array of his own on a few chests. Thanks to that array any owner of those chests, will never run out of space when filling them. [It was best not to go into full detail about that just yet either.]

While I'm going to give most of the chests away for free, these special ones will cost one gold r-

[The bang happens again and this time door burst open and a bunch of different chest are clamoring inside.]

Yes, the new owner has to be present to make the transfer ownership. It doesn't take very long though.

Have you thought of experimenting with applying that spell or .. however it is you did it, to something like a bag?

Actually the array was apply to bags first, the one that helped me out wanted to see how my array and his would work together.

And, was it possible in the end? Theoretically?

Both were possible in reality in as well. There is a limit but it makes complete sense.

I was wondering how one would get started, if they wanted to use runic magic.

Starting out is the simple part, you need to study the meaning of each rune and how they interact.

Is there a .. book or a resource that you use to begin studying?

There are loads of resources on runes at the guild actually. We might have a few guides still left around.

I'd .. that is, if I'd be allowed, it'd be wonderful if I could borrow one.

Oh you can keep the guild if you like, what the use of having a guide if you can't keep it.

Yes, Sinbad is tame and he has a bit of an ego though. Oh we also have a yak but you probably wont see her on your first visit.

It glows? ( You can tell she's excited, it's written all over her face. Besides, a lion can't be too bad, she's dealt with Crookshanks for most of her life and that can't be too much of a problem. )

I'll be sure to say hi to .. Sinbad, then, on my way in.

I put up a few array to keep track of the magical energy in the area. So they tend to glow for a bit.

You're trying to get rid of them?

I'm giving most of them away. It's because I'm bonded to so many that it's causing problems.

How d'you mean bonded? Did you charm them?

That's pretty simple, it's sort of like a invisible line connects us. It's a way for them to recognize their owners. Since they don't exactly have hearing, sight, or ability to pick up scents in the traditional sense.

Yes, I enchanted them with runes but it seems like I tapped into some life magic in the process.

They aren't dangerous are they?

[ Anything with little feet seems dangerous to Ronald, kind of like a little monster. ]

Not unless you're trying to break into them, and if you do they just bite.

[Which is about as painful as a lid slamming down on your hand.]
