am i forgetting anything

[ooc: Opt out for his quirk is here! And. Sorry. He borrowed a computer from Jade and used the bracelet to take pictures of the screen.]

Can't say I've heard of it, or of whatever 'jpegg' is. Most artifacts I'm aware of are really not the sort of thing you want to compress, unless you're trying to irritate their owners.

Or melt them down, possibly. I don't suppose that's a sort of metal?

Alright, I... think I sort of follow that. So pixel's the name for it when it's melted?

I'm still not sure what the purpose of it is, but it sounds interesting.

[you will learn about computers one day, horst. it only gets more confusing. this is so much easier when it's totally just some weird metal]

Taking back that statement, definitely not following.

so: always a pixel (which the bracelets may or may not be made of), but sometimes it's less obvious it's a pixel, and it's evidently made out of artifacts? Which I suppose explains how it projects things, depending on the sort of artifact, but you'd think that would leave them open to having less desirable effects. What else do they do?

Can't say I'm familiar, no. I take it that would clear things up significantly if I were.

Fair enough, I don't really expect you to explain it all. From the looks of things that would take some time.

I'll see what I can do about finding a computer and this pdf thing.

No idea, honestly. I haven't been here long-- couldn't say how many there are in general, much less how many don't have those.

Suspect the answer is 'many'. At the very least, 'several'.

To be fair, the whole world-hopping and tech-inept bit is just due to circumstance. There's not exactly a guidebook to other worlds and what they might or might not have- or none that I've been made aware of.

Surely there are instructions for them somewhere, if they exist here. Haven't run into one of them personally.

...on second thought I might've, now that I think about it I wouldn't have recognised one if I saw it.
