If you already read books, why can't you read about the giant squid?

i could spend two hours looking for and reading books on giant squid, orrrrr
i could spend three minutes looking them up on the internet
and spend that whole other hour and fifty seven minutes reading an adventure novel
or a romance novel or a comic book

Or you could as a librarian.

but the point is... it could save hours and hours a day
or i could spend one hour on the internet and learn about giant squid and moose and purple frogs and astrophysics and knitting
when that might take me five days in a library

libraries have their uses!!!!
but when it comes to information gathering, the internet trumps it

[No offense to Jade but that just sort of sounds lazy to Alice. She understands some books can be terribly boring but not every book.]

[ Jade wouldn't take any offense-- she's just impatient, especially when she's used to having the archived knowledge of the entire world available with a few keystrokes. Libraries seem almost archaic to her. ]
