I've been waiting to announce this in hopes that he had just gone grey again, but it looks like Jackson Whittemore has been sent home.

[ Derek has, too, but she's not aware of that because she has no reason to contact him.

The rest of this post gets filtered AWAY from the rest of the Beacon Hills crew. ]

For those of you that have had others from your worlds show up, how do you deal with the time differences? Especially if someone is from the future and tells you about something that happens to you that you haven't even dealt with yet? Nothing we do, especially here, can change it so do you just try not to think about it or...? And what if it causes problems between you and someone else? Would you try to make amends for something you haven't even done yet, or would you just leave the other person alone?

[ She's not even sure if that made sense, but she needs advice on how to deal with this whole thing. ]

[ Oh hey Allison, probs about time you and Jo should meet. Especially since Jo was supposed to meet with Jackson the day he disappeared and... yeah. ]

Did you know him? From home, I mean.

As for time shit, it really depends on the situation. When you go back home you don't remember this place, so it's not like you can change what you'll do. But that doesn't mean you're the same person here.

Yeah. We were friends. [ The awesome thing about texting is that Jo won't notice her slight pause before she typed the word "friends" because it all came through as one message. Hooray. ]

Or between those two points back home, if something big happens. Big events change people and if I haven't gone through them, I'm not that person I'm going to become when I go back.

[ Other awesome thing about text? The other person can't see the expression they might make. Everything's hidden, controlled. A godsend, text. ]

So you'll see him when you go back?

[ Not that she cares. Or anything. ]

But they have?

I wouldn't say make amends with them, because you haven't technically done anything wrong. They shouldn't hold something over your head if you haven't done it.

[ But she figures someone would've mentioned Jackson dying. ]

A couple people have, that's how I know about it. [ That last part has Allison hesitating before she responds. On one hand, she agrees with Jo; on the other? This is big. Really big. She doesn't blame Isaac at all for not wanting to put it behind him, either, she just doesn't know how to deal with it herself.

This place gives her a serious headache. ]

I really don't think it's going to be that simple.

He's been missing a while, hasn't he? [Not that he misses him, at all. Even when he'd wanted to know what Stiles knew, he'd been a complete asshole.] Think Derek followed him back, so they can be happy together in Beacon Hills.

Yeah, he has, but I was hoping... [ She sighs and shakes her head; it's a moot point now. Jackson wasn't her best friend in the entire world but she still considered him a friend, even before she found herself here and they seemed to grow a little closer.

She frowns at the mention of Derek, though even Allison has no idea what the meaning behind it is. There are too many conflicting feelings as far as he's concerned for her to deal with - anger over what he did to her mom, appreciation for how he saved Scott, irritation because he never seemed interested in the tiny little olive branch she extended his way here (before Stiles filled her in on what happened). ] I wonder who'll be next.

[Stiles just nods, because he understands. Even if they weren't necessarily all friends, having people from home made things feel more normal. At this point it was really just him, Scott, and Allison (and Isaac but he was an ass) and it felt like they were back to being a little trio isolated in the big bad world. It didn't help that Stiles still feels like the third wheel.

He definitely doesn't like thinking about Scott leaving, though, or even Allison.]

Can we vote Isaac off when the time comes? [A small smile, even if it's a little forced.]

I guess. [ Allison's glad she's not from the same time Isaac and Stiles are, but she also knows what's coming, so maybe that's worse. But this is a kid; she can't just dump all of this on him, even if she wanted to talk to someone about the specifics. ] It makes things more complicated than they really need to be, though.

I'm not really sure how I am, honestly.

[ That goes both for Jackson leaving and for the second half of her post. Though that part is far harder to deal with than Jackson disappearing. ]

[ The last time she bumped into him, she kissed him. It was awkward and horrible and she's fairly certain he wouldn't want to talk to her anyway. That and she's honestly not sure what she'd say. "Sorry I hunt you and your pack in the future and try to kill you but--" Even though her excuse is a good one, she still tried to kill him. Or will try. (The time differences kill her.) ]

It's a really, REALLY messy situation. I don't even know what I'd say/if he'd want to talk to me.

Sounds like the kind of thing that just gets more troublesome the longer you delay it. Misunderstandings work that way, don't they?

[ It takes Allison a little longer than she'd like to admit to figure out what that says. She's used to shortening words via text and such as that but using that many numbers in place of letters? Not something her friends generally do. ]

I am fortunate. We've both been in Asgard long enough to know how time works, so there's an understanding. After establishing the main facts, I haven't asked and Holmes hasn't told me.

If I feel I need to know, I trust him to tell me, but at the moment, I'd prefer to have my head in the minute, as it were.

I am sorry your friends are not so understanding, but as you say the matter is out of your hands at present. As hard as it might seem, I'd suggest taking your mind off it.

Easier said than done. [ It's huge, after all. ] Especially since the person I've got the problems with definitely isn't a friend. [ And she's worried about that escalating, about him trying to get revenge for something she hasn't even done yet. ]

True. But if things were left undone simply because they were difficult, I would not like to imagine the state of the world.

If the person who knows your future is not your friend, they are hardly likely to respect your wishes, but it is your decision how much you let what you learn effect you -- as it is your other friends decisions how much they learn and how they react to it.

[ Scott's relationship with Jackson has always been a difficult one. They've had their moments of almost getting along here, with much emphasis on almost, but they were probably never friends and Scott can't miss someone who was repeatedly a dick to him. Which is precisely why he's happy Derek is gone too... even if means he's lost two employees at his store. It's not like they did much work anyway except have some ridiculous cat litter war between them. Jackson had even blackmailed Scott into giving him a week off work (with pay) and Derek glared any potential customers away. Their absence will probably do Scott's business a world of good...

But Scott knows Allison considered Jackson a friend and if she's sad about Jackson going home, then it affects Scott because Allison being sad makes him feel sad. ]

[ She probably wouldn't be quite as bothered by it if she hadn't just learned what she did from Stiles. It feels like bad news keeps hitting her and it's driving her insane. But Scott is something good, something very good, and she knows that with him still here, she'll be able to deal with anything. Which is why she means it when she smiles a little, nods and says, ]

Yeah, I think so. It just kinda sucks.

[ Arthur wasn't aware the two knew each other. It's not as though he knew Jackson particularly well, but he was fond of the boy. They'd sat together through some of the dirtier parts of life in the city - and in this, he thinks, there is something bitterly humorous. ]

Oddly enough, I had the exact same conversation with Jackson not long ago.

It was just after he'd taken to one of the city's sleeping spells. The circumstances were a bit different, but he'd asked the same - what course to take in the knowledge of future events.
