[ There isn't much to see in the beginning. A few stray chestnut curls, the purple bodice of a dress that was probably once quite glamorous, but is now stained and dusty. This technology is all new to Aurora, and it's a minute or two before she manages to center the thing on her face. Her eyes are ringed by dark shadows that don't so much hint at her lack of sleep as they do blatantly advertise it, and her mouth is set in a thin line ]

I'll admit, the furnishings are much nicer than the last time, but a captive is a captive no matter the decor. You stand to gain very little from my presence here, but I'm sure you've already realized that

Your servant performed her role admirably. Tell me, did you pluck her heart out as easily as all the others?

[ There may be just a hint of bitternesss in her voice (Ok, more than a hint) but she can't really be blamed for that ]

In any case, I find it difficult to believe anything she said. If there's a way to bring me here, and without even the slightest warning, then surely you can send me home the same way.

(Just the first half of it. In her world, heroes are those people that wield sharp steel, or a bow. Special powers and abilities have never factored into it)

Which leads me back to these hearts being stolen. Who is taking them?

Her name is Cora. She's a...powerful witch. It's how she controls people, makes them do whatever she wants. (And then crushes their still-beating heart into a fine powder, but that part doesn't bear thinking about)

Until they grow bored or see their world repaired. I expect there are equal chances in seeing either of those happen.

Do they expect that kidnap will soften us to their cause? (Because really, her own world kind of sucks right now. She'd rather get that fixed first) There are better ways to inspire sympathy, or move one to action.

My world is not as kind as it once was. (Which is really just an excuse for her unwillingness to believe. But then...Cora's never been much for subtlety. The video gets shaky for a moment, as she flattens out the letter she received on arrival, smoothing out the creases from where she had crumpled it)

You say that this is all real, then? It's the work of the Gods?

Brevity is not half so important as honesty. Can I at least rely on them for that much?
