Has anyone seen a curse where someone becomes comatose?

If you have, do you know if there's a cure? A way to wake them up besides waiting for the curse to end?

Comatose? I'm afraid I know little of the curses, but it is within my abilities to try and sense this person's thoughts.

Not terribly, anymore. I would have to physically touch this person. But it is an ability I had before this place.

[ Telepathy might be an option (could a powerful telepath help wake him up?), but she doesn't like the idea. It's too risky. And would it even work? Other powers didn't have an effect. A last resort, perhaps. ]
