[ Yuri's finally successfully turned on the feed! Behind him, a dog is taking up the majority of his bed, sleeping. ]

I'll be quick, because from the looks of it, the 'I get nothing going on' gets old quick. If someone can forward me a guide, I'll read it over in my own time. I'll only shake someone down for a full rundown if I really have to.

What I really need is a sword. Where to get one, if I need one made, who can make it, and the IOU's that come after that. I'm pretty sure I can wrangle out the right amont of money-- [ Legally, or illegally. A sword is important enough to break rules. ] -- for anyone who can supply.

[ There's a bit of a sigh, and following; ]

I'm Yuri Lowell. If there's anyone who knows that name, I need to talk to you ASAP. [ Even if it's not a friendly face. ]

[ After about a half hour, he finds his way to the art shop with his dog behind him and the package in tow.

He knocks! ]

Ah, messer! Come on in, the door is unlatched.

[A voice from inside calls but the man who spoke could not be seen until Yuri stepped inside. Leonardo was busy climbing down from a small step stool in the sitting room. It looked as if he might have been fiddling with the clock that hung on the wall there but it didn't matter much now as he hurried over to greet his guest. ]

Did you have any trouble?

[ He turns the knob and elbows the door open, taking in the scenery... well, it was different from House Loki. ]

Nope, went pretty smoothly. Here.

[ He holds out the package that was waiting for him. ]

[Leonardo excitedly took the package from Yuri. It was tempting to open it now but... shouldn't leave the man standing there. ]

Please, have a seat if you want.

[The box was placed down on an in-table while the list of deliveries and the other packages to be delivered were indicated with a wave. ]

There are the other boxes and the list is on top. One to the local bar, one to return a few books to the library, and the last couple are deliveries for each God house, to replenish their emergency kits... ah!

[He catch sight of the dog. ]

You have a helper!

[ He nods. ]

I was lucky enough to keep a good friend from home with me. This is Repede... and he'll be helping out too.

[ At the last line, the dog gives a small whine and looks towards Yuri, who takes the list and gives it a glance over. ] Alright, fair enough. I should be able to get this all out in one go. He'll help.

[ woof! ]

[ Aside, to Repede. ] Come on, you've got to pull your weight too. I know you can balance things fine on your back.

[ The dog gives a disgruntled chuff, before laying down. The language the two of them seemed to understand between each other was... honestly indecipherable. The swordsman will take a seat, just as Leonardo offered. ]

You must have a big business to require your own delivery boy.

How lucky your friend was able to join you! There was no problem with keeping him in the God house?

[Leonardo gave Repede a friendly smile before taking a seat too. He did have a great love of animals so it was nice to see a dog around. ]

Haha, he really understands you! How wonderful.

No, not really. I have been trying to get commissions but... starting over again in a new place it always takes a while to become established.
Most of those packages are filled with things I made for free. The deliveries for the God houses are all packed with emergency supplies. Apparently there had been a war that occurred before I arrived and I decided to help restock their... well, they call them 'emergency supply kits'. They were running low of bandages and things.

There are just so many God houses to deliver everything to and you being new, I thought it might help you a bit? I know it can be difficult when you are just starting out.

I'm going to do my best to get a paid room soon, but so far, so good. Apparently he's just charming enough to get invites all over to visit other houses.

[ Read: Repede is really popular with the ladies. He pauses as he listens to Leonardo's story, then gives an approving smile. ]

You're really generous. In a place like this, where no one owes anyone else anything, you're working hard to help people the best you can. I'm glad I took your offer for the job.

I can see that. Who wouldn't want a visit from such a well behaved animal.

That is very kind of you to say. I always hoped my work might have some meaning. It might not be very much just doing supplies and things, but if it can help out a little I am glad.

Since you want a sword you must be a soldier of some kind? You will probabally be able to help out even more than I have.

[ It's a visit on business! But Repede can be well behaved with anyone... just the girls who coo at him and run right up to him tend to get his attention. ]

He doesn't really consider himself an animal. More like partway between animal and human.

Trust me-- the work you do has a lot of meaning. This much supplies going out? The people who'll get them will be really grateful for it. [ That, and Yuri has appreciation for people who do things for the good of it, even if there's no coin in exchange. ]

Isn't that the case with most animals? They live with humans long enough and they start to act like them.

[At the praise Leonardo inclined his head in a slight bow indicating his gratitude for the compliment.]

[Outside of the law? That was an intriguing choice of words and for a moment it did make Leonardo wonder if Yuri wasn't an assassin like a friend of his. Hmm...
But outwardly, Leonardo barely reacts it. Really, if you help one 'well-meaning criminal' then you might as well help others who were doing similiar things.]

A guild member? Of which trade? You might be able to make use of those skills here.

Point. He's been with me for a long time-- it'd be a waste if we didn't understand each other.

[ He drums his fingers. How to answer about Brave Vesperia? ]

Our guild just moves as it does. Protects and serves. Of course, once you join a guild, you're no longer under the protection of the empire, so that suits us just fine. Given that there's wars here... I guess the most I can make of my trade is to try to help teach people to defend themselves.

It must be a different kind of guild than I am used to. In Italia you joined guilds in order to get their protection and authorization to operate in the city.
But what you described sounds like the opposite?

I'm sure there would be an interest in defense training. With so much going on... well, people with your skills are always necessary.

That's right. There's two sets of law where I come from; the empire and the guilds. Once you join a guild, you operate under a different rules and forfeit all protection and dealing with the empire. For people who wish to function on an independent set of terms.

I might take up that kind of job. I'll have to find a training hall...

Doesn't having two sets of laws make it difficult?

[It sounded to him that might set one group against the other. ]

There is an Arena in the Thor district. I would think anyone could go there.

It makes it tolerable. There are some people who can't deal with the politics of the Empire.

[ Himself included. ]

Really? I'll have to go see.

[That is a familiar enough feeling, wanting independence instead of so many rules was what a lot of people were after. ]

Then do you know what you will do here, about the rules I mean? Do you intend to do what the Gods ask of you or will you continue to find your own way the best you can?

[Leonardo nods a bit about the arena.]

I have not been there myself, but it is listed on the map. You should be able to find it with no trouble.

... is probably why I was given to Loki. For all I understand so far, he seems to be the god who doesn't party around with the others.

[ Another shrug. ] So I'll do the best I can, with what I can.

They really cram everyone into these houses by god, huh?

[Ah ha, Loki house, of course! That should have answered the question before it was asked!]

Si, though I am not really sure why that is. I suppose they would want us taken care of, but why divided by God?

Is your house very crowded? This one isn't. There are only a very small number of Freyr house residents.

Maybe because they're picky. They only want to be represented by the people most like them?

I don't have someone sharing my bathroom, but there are a lot of full rooms. I guess so?

That is the only explanation that makes sense. I just don't know why they would be so picky. If they are trying to prevent the end of the world they should look for who ever could solve that problem the best. Unless... they are only able to pull people into Asgard who are like them?
There are so many things about this place I just do not have the answers for yet.

[He gave the room a quick look just as Yuri had done a moment before. ]

But at least the houses are nice even if the bathroom sharing situation can, at times, be tricky. Be grateful you have one all to yourself.

I understand. I guess we'll just find out as things become more apparent... or if we figure out how to shake down gods, really, either's viable.

[ That earns another laugh. ] Yeah, I am. Even if it's a small room, I'm not good with sharing tight spaces and hot water with people I don't know longer than a day.

[He chuckles too. While sharing wasn't such a problem for him it did have its downsides. Those could be laughed about. ]

That can be a cause for some conflicts, si.

[The clock chimed in the hour causing Leonardo to pause and look back at it. ]

I hadn't meant to keep you so long! It was very nice speaking to you, of course, but you probabally have other things to do?

[He was a talker. Some times he would chatter at people too much.]

I will get to work on your sword and tell you when you can pick it up.

[OOC: Want to say it takes two days for Leonardo to draw a sword Yuri likes the looks of, then he can use his drawing life power to make it real? So Yuri can have his new sword two days from this conversation?
Oh and you can make the sword look like whatever you want. ^^]
