[ Scott isn't new here, but the following video will make it seem like he is.

Last night he went to bed sixteen years old, this morning he woke up in the body and mind of his eight year old self. He has no recollection of where he is and no memory of anyone he knows here. Waking up in a bed beside a mysterious sleeping lady (aka his future girlfriend) pretty much freaked him out. He found some keys in the room labelled "Allison's Pet Store" and took them, wandering around Freya until he found the store and locked himself inside, thinking it might be a safe place. Any customers or employees who come to the store might find it odd to see the closed sign on the door when the store should be open.

After poking the gem on his bracelet out of curiosity and discovering it was more than just a bracelet, he's managed to record himself in a video, hiding under a desk where the cash register is. ]

Hello? Can anyone hear me?

I need help. I think a lady kidnapped me. I need - my mom, I need to find her. Or Stiles. [ His best friend will know what to do. ]

Can someone help me? [ He starts to sound tearful. ] Please?

I wanna go home.

Thanks-- [ He's about to say her name but realizes he doesn't know it. ] What's your name?

[ Right. She's so used to him already knowing it. ]

Allison. Like the pet store. [ She's kind of hoping he won't realize it's actually named after her because that could get awkward. Having Scott, in kid form, know how in love they are? Weird. Very, very weird. ]

[mccallmebb]

...Oh. [ Scott looks guilty. ] I took the keys to your store. [ He assumes it's her store because it sounds like hers. ] That's where I am now. Sorry I took them. You probably want them back...

[gymnast]

No, it's-- [ Realizing she's about to blurb out exactly what she's worrying about telling him, Allison pauses and offers him another smile. ] It's okay. You actually work there, too, so you can keep them for now. I bet the dogs went crazy because they recognized your scent when you walked in, huh? [ Distractions with puppies! That always works. ]

I work here? [ Scott looks really happy about that. He thinks working at a pet store means playing with animals all day. ] They did bark a lot... [ Which makes him believe Allison. ] But you're the boss, right? [ Why would it be called Allison's Pet Store if she wasn't? ]

[gymnast]

[ She shakes her head a little. ] No, the store was just named after me. [ She doesn't work there at all and while she could lie to him, she doesn't really want to. Not if she can help it. ] I work at the Citadel, teaching people how to use bows.

[mccallmebb]

Are you famous? [ Scott thinks she must be important to have a store named after her. ] Bows like Robin Hood had?

[gymnast]

The owner just really likes me. [ Which isn't a lie at all! ] Yeah, a lot like those but the one I prefer is a little more high tech than Robin Hood had.

Do you shoot people?

[gymnast]

[ Stop asking the difficult questions, Scott. She hesitates for a moment before she shakes her head. ] No, I don't. [ Lying to him hurts, even though she's doing it for the right reason, but she tries not to let how much it bothers her show on her face. Explaining to an eight year old that she shots people sometimes in order to protect others (or because of the influence of her now dead aunt) doesn't seem like such a great idea, though.

She just hopes he won't hold it against her when this curse or whatever it is is over. ]

[mccallmebb]

[ Scott won't even remember this conversation once the curse is over. If he did remember it, he'd feel bad about putting her on the spot, but he's naturally inquisitive at this age. ]

Do you shoot animals? [ That would upset him just as much as finding out she shot people would. Basically he wants to know what she shoots at because she must teach people to shoot at something, right? ]

[gymnast]

Of course not. [ She's figuring out where he's going with this now. ] We shoot at targets made out of hay. We even paint bulls-eyes on them so we can see who has the best aim.

[mccallmebb]

[ Now it sounds more like a game to Scott instead of hunting. ] That sounds fun, like those games at a carnival! Does the winner get a prize? Like a cuddly toy?

[gymnast]

[ Thank god he's smiling again; Allison was worried she was ruining his "childhood". Even worse than she already did, what with kidnapping him... ]

Not usually, but I might have to do some kind of contest like that sometime. Maybe make it open to people who aren't taking lessons.
