[As the feed comes up, you can see one (1) Jo Harvelle sitting at what looks to be a large wooden counter. The room behind her looks to be an empty biker bar. Which, it kind of is. Or was. In its original form. Jo's sitting at the counter with the majority of the empty building behind her. Her elbows are resting on the wooden surface, she has what looks like a microphone in her right hand and is looking over to her right. Behind her you can see Ash, who is standing and singing quite passionately into his microphone.]
And I need you now tonight, and I need you more than ever. And if you only hold me tight, we'll be holding on forever!
[Jo is smiling and seems quite content with the world, noticing a moment later that the bracelet is on and turning back to it. Ash continues with his award-winning performance, hair-flips, knee-slides, air-guitars and all.]
Oh right, well. Hey Asgard. Turns out I've been kinda busy over the past week or so. A pet project of mine. I want to welcome y'all to The Roadhouse. My mom ran one of these back home and I-
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark, we're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks. I really need you tonight!
[She shakes her head.]
Anyway. It's up and running, now. In the Thor District. Ash wanted to try out the karaoke machine, so I figured why not make it a kinda Grand Opening sorta thing? We've got booze and some snacks and all the good music you could ask for.
As far as I can tell there's no real drinking age in Asgard, but I don't want any kids hanging around. I'm not gonna seriously enforce anything, but I will kick you out if I need to. That goes for both kids and adults and everything in between. But come on by whenever, we'll be here all night.
[Back-ground Ash looks relatively distressed, pointing up at the screen and over at Jo, totally oblivious or possibly totally uncaring of the open feed.]
Jo, Jo that's your part. Jo!
[Jo just kind of waves him off. Ash if frantic for another moment but picks back up where he left off when the vocals return.]
We're gonna need some staff - waitresses, bartenders if you've got experience, maybe even a chef if there's one out there. Neither Ash nor I know how to cook anything fancy, so until then we've got bar-nuts and french fries.
Once upon a time there was light in my life, but now there's only love in the dark. Nothing I can say, a total eclipse of the heart.
[Jo actually does look over to her right at that point, giving an applause as the song fades out before she comes back to the bracelet.]
The music selection on this thing is awesome by the way. But yeah, come on by when you like. The Roadhouse is open for business.
We built this city-
[Her eyes widen immediately as she stands, looking back over at the machine.]
Oh no, we are not doing this again-
[ filtered to TFW, New Camelot + Buffy ]
[This message comes by a little later, and it's after Jo's turned down the volume on the karaoke machine. Ash is probably still fiddling with it, but you can't really tell. She's smiling, obviously proud of herself.]
Just wanna let y'all know that this place- [she motions upwards, meaning the bar] is open for everyone. Feel free to hang out, use it for whatever, and drinks are on the house. Except for Cas - if you plan on getting smashed, you'll have to pay for it. I don't have enough liquor for you.
Back home this place, or it's counter-part at least, served as a home for hunters who were on jobs. It was my home, Ash's too, and now I want to open it up to y'all. So...yeah. That was about it.
See ya when you come by.
[ ooc: Ash and Jo are both open to replies! But Jo more likely than Ash, seeing as he has a new karaoke machine and therefore new high scores to settle with it.
But this acts as the grand opening post for The Roadhouse, a bar that Jo has built to mimic the one her mom ran back home. All the information is there, as well as a place for hiring. Jo needs some helping hands, but first dibs go to CR she already has. Unless you're a cook, which in that case PLEASE COME HELP.
I've set up a log here for all Grand Opening shenanigans, so feel free to come by and. Well. Shenanigan-it-up. There is a karaoke machine, pool tables, a shuffle board table, darts, alcohol, and even a dance floor.]

It looks wonderful - that's very kind of you, Jo.

You should come by. Can't say I have any mead or whatever it is you drank way back when, but the beer isn't half bad.

[Especially with Morgana being as she is. Lord could he go through the entire place right now.]

[ dude, she's used to running a bar for hunters. don't you think she knows how to stock the place? besides, this is supposed to be a party. come have fun and take your mind off everything. ]

Fair enough.

Aw, man. Really? Looks like you gotta pay up, Jo, because I just scored a perfect one-oh-oh. And you had something against Starship.

I'll take it on credit, seeing as you're gonna drink it anyway.

At this rate, we may never have need of leaving this district. Unless it's to escape your, ah, enthusiastic performances for a tick.
[ Ash, what is your life, Arthur will never understand. ]
[ video || same filter ]
Did you want to? Cause I can always send you on errands to pick things up everywhere else. Thor's low on the production side of things.
[ but then she's laughing because oh god ash. ]
He'll get bored of it eventually. Right now he just- [ cringe, oh god that high note. ] Has to prove himself. But don't let him hear you say that, he might take it as a challenge.
[ video || same filter ]
[ In fact, do it all the time. It'll be fun! He shakes his head fondly, then glances to Ash in the background. ]
Is he always like that?
[ video || same filter ]
[ Merlin can't carry everything, Arthur. Geez. ]
Ash? Nah. He just needs to beat it and then he'll probably leave it alone for a bit.
[ but uh, I do hope we plan on having all the knights coming and getting drunk and singing being a thing. Cause it needs to be a thing. ]

Er--oh right. You should probably know someone from Camelot's showed up again. Might not want to offer free drinks when he's around.
[Same Filter]
But man, did he drink.
[ Jo just kind of snorts. ]
Knights are just men, Merlin. And the bar I ran back home was for hunters. I think I can handle him. Whoever he is.
[Private to Jo]
[He pauses.]
You know, I think you're the first one to mention something about your world. Sam and the others are always so secretive.
[Private]
[ but then she's quiet for a minute, thinking about their lives back home, the things she learned. When she does speak, it's through a sense of forced ease. Like she's tip-toeing around something. ]
Our world's not much to brag about, believe me.

Sure you got enough whiskey for me, Jo?

I wouldn't have offered if I didn't.

How'd you get this together so fast?
