 So! I've heard quite the chatter about these bracelets since my arrival here. Seems quite a few people have misplaced them and suffered some rather unfortunate consequences---Though if I'm being honest, I'd have to say it's gone and piqued my interest more than anything, and all the buzz has got me wondering just what it is these bracelets do.

Now, I know that  they allow us to communicate over long distances and such, and that if one loses theirs they lose their personality along with it. Though there are a few things I'm not really clear on. I mean, what would happen if two people were to switch bracelets? Would they both lose personality? Or perhaps they'd switch personalities entirely--imagine what the implications would be!

Now, I'd really like to try it out myself, but before I do: Has such a thing been done in the past? And if not, would anyone be willing to give it a go? It might yield some interesting results.

I could be wrong but it's difficult to test a bracelet without having someone go native here.

'Going native'? Is that the term for losing one's personality--? Ah, well! Regardless, I'd imagine that to be the case, though I'm not particularly worried. After all, one must brave any potential risk if they want to find answers.

I guess in a way it is? It's more like what happens when you lost your bracelet, you turn into one of the natives and become 'lost' until you get your bracelet again. [And turn grey]

Then does that mean you're really going to purposely take off your bracelet? That would be...!

Well...yes, that is the plan. Now, I do know it's a bit risky, and this whole 'losing your personality' bit can't be all that pleasant an experience...It is, however, a temporary ailment--at least from what I've heard--so even if this leads me nowhere, it's not as though it'll be fatal.

Besides, what if there is something to be found in this venture? Why, I'd be ashamed of myself if I didn't at least attempt it.

You're right, it is temporary but I certainly do wonder what the consequences could be. There isn't a high risk for removing it as there are many others who manage to turn out fine.

I suppose I'm being a little cautious over something like this. If there is something that can be found, then... [mumble mumble]
