[ ohay asgard, ever seen the look of someone who's literally just gotten out of bed and scrambled to check the bracelet? because now you have. and he looks awful. if it was possible to look sleep deprived after what he's sure was the longest night (or maybe even multiple nights) of sleep he's ever had. of course, it wasn't just a normal sleep -- hence the franticness of everything he's doing right now.

it's a bit uncharacteristic, but jackson's had the video feed running for a minute or so as he stares at everything in disbelief. it might be the look of a newcomer if it wasn't for the fact that he's in his room at Thor and he doesn't look surprised at the network itself, but at the fact that it's still here. ]

I don't know if anyone— [ dreamt they were back home? no, no, that wouldn't work. what if no one knows what he's talking about. ]

I need someone — anyone — to tell me what day it is. [ his words are coming out too fast and he takes a deep breath to steady himself. ]

And what's the last thing that you remember happening here? I don't mean like you just waking up and getting food, but something major.

Whatever it was, I need to know now.

[ She's going with video because fuck texting. This post has her really, really worried. ]

Jackson, what's going on? Are you okay? [ Dumb question, considering. ]

[ woah hey allison! you know what his last dream memory was? having his claws poised at your throat ready to slice and dice. so, the video throws him off -- don't mind if he really can't look you in the eye. ]

You told me — you said, when you first came here —

[ wow this is even more difficult to try and explain now that he does remember bits and things from both places. ]

What was the last thing that happened at home before you were here?

[ that's a good... neutral-ish start, right? the explanation can come after ]

[ Meanwhile, Allison just looks even more confused and concerned. In fact, she's seriously considering getting up and going over to Jackson's apartment just so they can talk about this in person. He seems like he needs someone there with him, after all, for whatever reason.

The first part has her brow furrowing further - which is an amazing feat, truth be told - and the second has her tilting her head slightly. ] The rave. I told you that before. [ You really need to start explaining, Jackson. ] Why? What happened?

[ he'd probably appreciate in the end if someone did. but he won't ask because it's jackson ( and also until he's sure he's figured out what's just happened. )

he's trying to recount what he remembers seeing in his head. the rave, the rave, and there's half-filled memories there. some of it, he's still fuzzy about because of — allison's grandfather, he realizes with a frown. there's a suppressed shudder as he tries to focus on the rave again and what he remembers happening afterwards, when he was still lucid. ]

Did someone die at that rave? [ say no, allison. say no and maybe he can go back to thinking it's just some weird dream. :c ]

[ If she actually finds out what he went through - even part of it - Allison will probably go over anyways. Maybe not right away, but definitely within a day or two. Jackson's her friends, after all, even if he is some kind of lizardy killing machine that's being controlled by someone else. ]

I don't know. [ And she hates that she doesn't know, but when she left, she was unsettled thanks to Matt. But it doesn't take a genius to add two and two together; they were at the rave to try to set a trap for Jackson. If someone ended up dead...

She tries to keep her face neutral, or at least still concerned rather than a little bit afraid, but she doesn't know if it works. At least her voice is still steady when she says, ] I thought you were from before the rave. Did you... [ Her frown deepens slightly because she didn't notice he went missing. Some friend she is. ] Did you go home?

I was. I am. [ is that even a valid correction to be making? he remembers everything afterwards like he was really there. even if allison didn't know of the girl who'd died at that rave, jackson does. the times he always remembers most clearly are the ones when he'd been trying to wash the blood off his hands.

can be attempt to try and make sense of it? he thinks about the conversations he and allison had about others going home and if it really did happen to himself, then it's almost terrifying and disappointing. ]

I thought whenever someone went home, they just vanished. It doesn't even seem like I've been gone at all.

[ It's possible he did vanish without anyone noticing and just came back quicker than others, but she doesn't want to say that. It's bad enough that she hadn't noticed, if that were the case; drawing attention to how bad of a friend she is seems like an even worse idea. ]

Do you know what day it was when you left? [ He'd been asking what day it was, after all, she just wanted to focus on making sure he was okay first. ]

Something like day 196? The festival was going on, I remember that much.

[ and he knows it's been roughly three to four days now thanks to others letting him know that it's around day 200 now. but it still doesn't make it any less strange or easier to swallow. ]

...on the plus side, you haven't missed that much? [ Not that there really seems to be much of a plus side here. Allison doesn't know much about what happened after the rave - even less about what happened after Lydia's party - but if Jackson remembers someone dying at the rave... ]

Do you-- [ She pauses for a moment, face scrunching in thought. She has to phrase this well, otherwise Jackson might end the conversation right here and now. ] Have you eaten recently? We could get a sandwich or something together.
