[This particular feed looks much more staged than any of her others. A table has been set up, and there's a wooden box sitting conspicuously in the center of it. Hibiki herself stands excitedly a little to the side, making it easy to see the set up.

And in the background, unintentionally, is a sleeping Cyndaquil. Whoops. BUT IMPORTANT THINGS FIRST--]

Thanks to Aladdin-san's hard work, runic magic works in the city now! There were a lot of flashing lights in the sky recently - that means the magic has returned to Asgard.

I'm probably not the most qualified person to talk about it, but... you can use runic magic to do a lot of things the powers from the gods won't. If you learn how to use them right, you can make up your own spells, too!

[She picks up the box, opening it up and showing the bottom to the screen. Inscribed there is a curious circle. In the background, the Cyndaquil gives a yawn.]

This is a spell I made. If you use it, you can conjure melon bread!

[By way of demonstration, she touches her fingers to the circle, causing it to glow a soft green mixed with gold. With a snap, she shuts the box... Only to open it again with a steaming loaf of melon bread inside. She sets the box aside and takes out the bread happily.]

Hm... maybe they were trained beforehand. But still, it doesn't seem to be an ethical thing to do, is all I'm saying.

I don't think he ever trained them, either. The forest was full of gusks, so he often used them for his experiments.

Gusks? Experiments?

Mm. My Master was researching immortality, so he used gusks for experiments. They're these small creatures that lived in the forest around my Master's home.

[She holds her hands up, indicating about the size of a squirrel.]

I wasn't any good at magic, so... he had me feed and play with them while we kept them. And once he collected enough data, we let go of almost all of them and let them return to the forest.

I would hope they didn't suffer through the experiments.

[ All she ever heard about people experimenting on animals back in her world was... very unpleasant stuff that made her feel sick. ]

Uh-uh. My Master told me, they would be just fine. He was transposing their souls - switching their bodies. But only two at a time, and only for a little bit before he switched them back again. It shouldn't have hurt them at all.

That's ah... like what the gods did to some people here, right? How does one do that...?

Yes, like that. It's... a really complicated spell. My Master only taught me enough so I could complete it, but he drew most of the circles himself.

There's one circle for the spell caster, and two for the people being switched. You have to be careful to complete the line correctly, or the spell might hurt one of the people to be switched...

But my Master, he's an expert at circles. When he did the spell, he always did it perfectly, so I'm certain the gusks weren't hurt at all.

[...Unlike the time she had to do it.]

I don't know your master, but if you say they weren't hurt, I'm going to trust it. [ ... ] Sorry for doubting this, I'm just not a fan of experimenting on other living beings...

It's okay... I was worried too at first, but he told me they would be alright...

[She trails off, her mind going unwittingly back to that time. It... really has been a long time, hasn't it? Since that incident, and since she last got to see her Master...]

I trust your word. Well, are there any other rune spells I could use?

[Ah, right. Got to focus on the present.]

U-umm... The others might have made a few more, but I don't know them myself. It's all so new, we don't have very many spells made yet.

I see... I could go see the guild one of these days then. I confess you that I would really like to learn this kind of magic, if only to help others better.

Do you think there would be a spell to heal others, too?

Hmmm... I don't know if a healing spell would work, but... we can try?

It can be tried, but... I wouldn't want to cause trouble.

It can't hurt to try! And if it doesn't work, we can just find another spell that does!

Alright. I just wanted to see if there was some healing spell people can learn without necessarily possessing it. [ She wants to be more useful to people... ]

Not yet... I thought about making one, too, but I didn't know if it would be okay.

Probably. I wonder how I should ask them...? They don't usually talk to me very much even when they're making announcements.

I think the best way is to do that very politely... and maybe ask the right person. If Sigyn made the announcement, for example... [ But they can't predict when that will ever happen. ]

...I don't think I can ask Freya-sama, though. She's the one who told Aladdin-san about the magic, but...

... She's gone now, isn't she?
