016 ✿ Audio and Action
[The first thing that Euri's bracelet is recording is the CRUNCH CRUNCH of snow under her boots. She and Dog are out exploring all of Gefion Park today, curious to see how the snow changes the area surrounding her home.]
The snow is pretty nice! It's a lot more than we'd get back home in Fuggum.
Oh - but I had a question. There's a couple of people here who are royalty, right? How does that work, anyway? How do they get castles? Is it different in every world? The humans back home have royalty, and stories about princes and kings being chivalrous and slaying dragons and rescuing damsels in distress. I think if you marry someone royal you become royal, but I don't really know the details.
So! How does royalty work for everyone else?
[She and Dog will be out wandering all over Gefion for a while, so feel free to run into her in person!]

... And is royal blood any different than normal blood? For humans, I mean.
audio;
They bleed the same as anyone else does.

Because he's technically royalty.
Or he was, anyway.
But he doesn't like talking about it. Why would he? It's not something to be proud of, and just being royal doesn't mean he's automatically better than anyone else.
Anyway.
It's a little while before he decides to actually respond.]

[So, with a rather rare amount of hesitance on his part, he begins speaking:]
Um...yeah, back home, there was a kind of royalty for Moths and all, though we didn't really consider them royal in the way humans do...they were just a higher lifeform, perfect in every way, and we followed them because, honestly, we would be kind of lost without them.
[oh nick you can't even pretend to talk about something else without subtly stroking your own ego, can you]

Chivalry and adventures, though...I think that's more of a knight thing than a royalty thing, even if you are expected to be courteous.

Wh - no, princes and kings are supposed to be chivalrous, too!

Those are some rather interesting stories. Though I suppose taxes and treaty negotiations aren't quite the fascinating fodder for song.
[ Still, the lady asked a question that bears answering. He answers with due solemnity for one whose throne is so frequently sought after, and by his own sister, no less. ]
I suppose it might be different for every world, just as it is different for every kingdom. There are lawful and just means of succession every bit as much as there are criminal manners of obtaining a throne. Royalty is not hardly a simple matter, in any case.
