[ the feed clicks open and there is robb, looking a tad worn and disgruntled. he's just come back from being gray and colour - colour is a shot of relief -- like the feeling of sweet summerwine down your throat. he barely remembers anything. only the war, and arya disappearing and then nothing.

he's always figured it was part of some promise to return them. that the next time he would open his eyes - he'd be on the battlefield, or the eyrie or winterfell. somewhere familiar - but he isn't. he's still here.

his voice is perhaps, hoarser then. the after effect of not having spoken for what feels like a near month. he's glad the bracelet is with him again, as is grey wind. ]

I had thought the gods kind enough to deliver me out of their service. It seems they place me back.

[ a beat. ]

Is S- Alayne Stone still of this realm?

[Robb gets a smile in return.]

That was the power given to me. It'd be a waste if I didn't use it to help, wouldn't it?

[robb]

[ perhaps he's never thought of it like that. ]

Aye, perhaps. I would do the same with my power if I could understand how it works. Magic was not common in Westeros, it was a thing of old tales.

[dragonspeak]

Oh! [SUDDENLY, he's sitting up that much straighter.] I could explain a few things, help you figure it out, if you'd like?

My friends and I started a teaching group for exactly that.

[robb]

You would grant me that kindness, ser?

[ a beat. ]

I have Energy Lending and I serve the house of Heimdall.

[dragonspeak]

It's no trouble at all. Magic was important to me even in my world, and I like helping people learn how to use theirs here.

[He rubs at his chin.]

I have several friends with that power, so it should be fairly easy for me to explain to you. We'd have to meet up some time, though.

[robb]

You had magic even in your realm? When Arthur speaks of Camelot, he does not make mention of magic.

I should wish for that. Asgard has relieved me of most of my duties, if you were to name a time and a place I should be there.

[dragonspeak]

[Oh Robb. You have no idea. No idea.]

No...I suppose he wouldn't.

[He smiles sadly, the cheer from before suddenly drained.]

Its practice has been banned. There is no place for magic in Camelot right now, but there will be some day.

[robb]

[ n o p e. no idea at all. he does however notice the sudden shift in merlin's demeanor - it's cause for his attention. ]

I did not mean to speak in turn. Arthur is a just king, I am sure - he will make it so. Does he know of your magic?

[dragonspeak]

He doesn't know yet, back in Camelot. The time I'm from, his father is still the king, and he is the one who despises magic.

I know Arthur will be a just king--is a just king now that he's gotten new memories, but his father is another matter.

[Merlin sighs, shaking his head. Look at him, telling all these sad tales to someone he doesn't know very well.]

It's all right. I've waited several years already...what's a few more when I know my king will be the greatest Albion has known? Things will change once Arthur takes the throne.
