[ The kid actually looked a little freaked out by that thought. He shuddered then frowned.]

I donno if pet is the right word. Guard bird maybe? He goes from being this sickly cute little penguin thing into a big ass Phoenix thing.

Anyway yeah, emotion transfer thing. Been there. It's not hard. We don't actually have to DO anything. Just act normal and shit. [ He shrugged. ]
