Ϡ 1st Feather ⇁ Video

[ When the video flips on, it is to Altaïr barely masking his disdain. ]

It would seem that these bracelets are a necessary trinket.

I have been... absent, for some time. What little I remember, the outcome of Asgard's battle looked bleak. It seems that this was overcome. What else have I missed?

[Tentatively.]

Altair, did you perhaps remove the bracelet?
digophelia: (idle and fallen to ruin)

[personal profile] digophelia 2012-12-17 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
I am sorry to hear that.

[No, you're terrifying, Alice isn't asking more.]

[A chuckle.]

I was beginning to wonder where you had gone off to, Altaïr. [A beat.] There has been much that has happened while you were gone.
digophelia: (o death i am not ready for the grave)

We have new additions to the... shop.

Those bracelets are a pain in the ass, aren't they?

Freyr's dead, though, and Freya's pissed at us about it.

I haven't been here a day and the paper they gave us specifically states not to take off the bracelet. Are you some sort of idiot?

[ there was a certain emotion Darim was expecting to feel the first time he saw his father, what was that emotion again? oh yes, relief. but that's not the emotion he feels now. actually, what he feels is sick. very, very sick.

that is not the face of a 60 year old man as it should have been. that is the face of someone who is much, much younger. he almost wants to think that maybe this isn't his father, maybe this is just someone who looks very much like his father did when he was a child (although younger looking than even that), but he is no fool. he knows that as much as he wants to think that, to convince himself that this is not his father, to do so would be foolish. he would only hurt himself more in the end by doing so.

he does hold on to the foolish hope that Altaïr will know him, though. maybe he would only know a newborn version of Darim, but even if it's only that at least it would be something. because if Altaïr doesn't know Darim at all, Darim will have lost the only remaining person that he truly cares about. ]

And the bracelet-- the bracelet had something to do with your absence? [ his voice isn't as strong as he'd like it to be, but he can't muster up the energy for anything else right now. not when he's so nervous. ]

[TROLL MENTORE MISSED THE SHIT OUT OF YOU, GRANDPA. B)]

Va bene, would the shop do?

[aka you better get your ass in the Bureau, boy. He's got some 'splainin' to do.]

... did you take it off?

Truly?

My brother will never let you hear the end of this.

So you took it off during a battle. That's smart.

I was recently warned about the dangers of losing those bracelets. As some one who has experienced it, could you tell me what it was like? What actually happened when you lost it?
digophelia: (we prepare our graves)

[personal profile] digophelia 2012-12-17 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
It was a forewarning that there are new additions to the shop or bureau... whatever it is called.

[Whoops.]
