[The feed starts not with a face, but instead with a view from up above. It seems like someone's activated their bracelet by accident, and judging from the view it looks like the view from the very top of Heimdall's bank. A nice, beautiful aerial view of the city, showcasing some remaining snow on the roofs of some buildings.

At least it was beautiful until there was a jerk and a very loud sneeze.]

...Forgot how cold this place can get.

[Yup, that's Riku's voice, and when the video feed sweeps over to him, he looks a bit different. For starters, he's being a dumb island boy, dressed only in his vest. Checking in on the city and the damage that was still there was apparently more important than finding jacket.

And now, his hair's cut, bangs trimmed so that his eyes are now visible.]

You know, I thought this place was a dream or some vision before. Something that only happened to me. [He never mentioned it to Sora back home. Not if he wanted to be branded 'nuts' or have his friends fret over him.] I guess coming back here makes that theory useless. It's strange. [And not quite how the worlds work back home.]

Would anyone mind telling me what's been happening here. It's... been a while since I've been here.

...And anyone from our world-- ACHOO!

[He rubs a hand over the edge of his nose, sniffing and looking just a bit sheepish for all the sneezes. The islands don't get as cold as this place, and he's certainly not used to it.]

[She's relieved, even if she's not certain she should be - at least he seems to be okay. He may be here again, and whether or not that's a positive development is debatable, but he's okay, and that's something. (Now, at least, he won't be separated from his friends in the part of their timelines they're actually in the city themselves.) ~~But really, Riku, what's with that hairstyle--~~]

You might want to think about finding a jacket.

[That counts for roll call, right? She sounds a little amused.]

[Well it is about time. Forgive Sora's outburst, he's been worried.]

It's about time! I sent you all those messages and you didn't say anything. I looked for you!

Well...it depends on when you disappeared!

You... went home? [She sounds strangely quiet.]

[...He's kind of used to Sora's outbursts, but this even is a bit much. He stalls for a minute, glancing down to check the messages that he's talking about.

Guess this means that Sora didn't go home like he did to take the exam. Its pretty confusing.]

You know, most people start a conversation with 'hello' and stuff.

But... Sorry, Sora. I don't have control over something like going home.

Well, the damage to the city looks about the same from what I remember, but it could have been caused by a second wave or battle.

...I'm not sure when, to be honest.

[He picks up on it, but won't comment.

Yeah, for a little while.

It's okay. Just... Don't leave if you can help it.

[When one friend goes missing and another leaves (again), it's only natural to worry. And Sora sometimes takes things five miles too far.]

How come you remember this place? I thought we forget everything when we leave.

I was a little preoccupied with more important matters.

[Like scaling buildings, apparently.

His smile diminishes a little bit. Knowing what was revealed to him now, its a little bittersweet to see her. Good, but it brings back memories of when DiZ was more of a dick, and the circumstances were different.]

...Its good to see you.

[Oh, that makes her want to burst into tears again.]

Why did you come back? Why did they bring you back?

You know I won't. [He's yet to skim through the listing of residences and Travellers. So Kairi's disappearance is still unknow to him.]

I don't know. Maybe its just another strange quirk of this world. [Its certainly not because the gods are being nice now.]

I kind of almost forgot about this place when I went back too.

...What?

[He's a bit taken aback by that.]

What's wrong?

[Sora is still a bit frazzled by Riku's disappearing act but seeing him again comes as a huge relief. He's pretty much jumped his best friend's stuff already. He's over it.]

When it's time for us to go, we're leaving together.

[It does sound a little insensitive, but she's going to clear that up very quickly as she blurts out:]

They sent Vanitas home!

[He could be used to it now, but Riku knows how his best friend is.]

Yeah. We'll all go together. [Given his status now, he'd need to keep track of where all the Keyweilders are.]

Because that's what happened, there was a battle going on!

And if we won, we were able to go home! But...that didn't happen.

Not Kairi.

[It's time to face facts. As much as he wishes she were still here, Kairi's gone.]

She disappeared after you left.

[They were friends, he knows that for sure. There's no other reason for Vanitas being in her's home with what he knows about the other boy. He isn't one of the ones suffering, but...

She is now.]

I'm sorry, Euri.

Did... did you feel anything different? Like you knew you would come back?

Of course. I'm sure you're very busy. [The tiniest of pauses.] That view seems nice.

[Part trolling, mostly sincere. She sobers soon enough, though, at that last bit. Still warmly, but more quietly so,]

It's good to see you, too, Riku.

[And that's true, even if she does have to wonder what he may have learned about her and more importantly Roxas' future. The question burns in her throat, but she holds it back. There will be time for that later. More pressingly, perhaps,]

How were things?

[She doesn't say the 'back home'. That question, at least, is broader, covers more of the other things she wants to know; how he was doing, how the others were, and the worlds-- everything, really, contained in three little words.]

[.... duuuude. He can actually see your eyes now! Get down from there, it's fucking freezing.]

You need me to bring you a jacket up there?

And what was the last thing you remember back here before you got sent home? Welcome back, by the way.

[People leaving everywhere. At least Riku came back. Man, it's been a rollercoaster of emotions this week. He doesn't sound as cheerful as he usually does.]

[She had wondered where he'd gone to, but if he's back now--well, that's fine. This may or may not be a teeny bit amusing for her, either way.]

I think you might wanna find something warm to wear, first. [Then she'll try to explain, if nobody else has.]

[ aha, so people can go home. ]

[OH hey, he recognizes that body. Because it temporarily belonged to Jade, just for a little while.]
