[ Cloud's not looking at the video when it starts, instead focused on a nail that he strikes with a hammer. He glances at the video, confirming it's on, but he seems distracted or restless. ] Vincent. You're about the only one who'd stay quiet for long. If you're here, say something. [ Pound. Pound. Pound. .... ] Or...if any Houses have a deep sleeper. He'd be wearing a cloak. I'll wake him up. [ Hard to imagine cold Vincent taking the gods or their "laughter and tears" thing very seriously. He'd probably go to sleep since it doesn't involve Lucrecia.

There's no asking about the others this time--Cloud's sure that either he would have heard them by now, or they'll be messaging him soon enough over this. Instead: ] I've put this off long enough. Anyone know where I can get a sword? [ What he's been hammering isn't furniture or anything like it, as proven when he does an idle "victory" twirl with his arm--it's a nail bat. He rests it lightly on his shoulder and shrugs at the video. ] This is interesting once in a while, but it gets old.

I haven't heard anything about anyone sleeping here. I-- don't know where to get a sword, either. I'm sorry. [And she looks like it, too.]

I'm afraid I can't help you with your sleeper. I haven't seen anyone like that within House Freya.

However, as for acquiring a sword, there are different shops throughout the city that sell weaponry. I've yet to find a suitable blade, but it seems we're expected to work in order to earn anything other than food and board.

There's no such person in House Odin, I'm afraid.

[He regards the bat thoughtfully.] I believe weapons can be purchased in the city, but you'll need to find employment to make money to afford them.

You're used to combat situations, I take it?

Damn. [ Hel seemed like a winner with the general creepiness and that... weird amusement park thing on its grounds. Cloud frowns. ] If it's really just me... [ He shakes his head. ] ..."Oniisan"?

Don't worry. I didn't think Sigyn would take him. [ It's brusque, but hopefully Naminé won't take that to heart since it's not aimed at her... also, he'd have to wonder if she did know where to get a sword. ]

No. It seems that only Hel's snowman was giving out weapons. [He's still a bit bitter about that. And that's all he has to say on the matter.] ... And yes, I -- have been trained in swordsmanship.

It may be helpful, if we are both interested in looking, that we compare the shops we find. This is a large city.

[ He--furrows his brows. Having to think about what he's saying because yeah, his mind's been elsewhere. ] Okay, how would you describe the other people in Sigyn?

Vincent's all right, but he's not the kind of guy who rushes to help others.

[ Not to bag on Vincent; it's Cloud's honest impression of him. And he was surprised--pleasantly, but still surprised--when Vincent showed up again at the end of the game. ]

[He nods. He doesn't particularly respect those who act solely for money (even worse than Heroes), but there's no visible sign of that disapproval.]

As there's no justice system here, some of us are trying to start one, in order to protect the populace from harm. To do that, we'll need a police force or guard of sorts.

We've only just arrived, so there's little money involved so far, but there is likely to be greater payment in the future.

...Hm. So... what you're saying is you don't think Sigyn would have wanted to pick him because of that? [It does make sense, now that she thinks about it, but she finds it a bit hard to believe that a goddess who sought kind people would pick her, after what she's done.]

If they cared about justice here, they would have a justice system of some kind in place, but they do not. [If the gods wish to take issue with him, so be it.]

Unfortunately, I think this is the kind of endeavor they might even approve of, as they wish us to "flourish". I do oppose them on principle, but I can't stand idly by when there is nothing in place to protect the citizens from harm. [He's not able to protect them himself, as Lunatic, so he will do what he must.]
