If this is supposed to be another attack on the city I think it's a lot nicer than the previous ones.

[She's actually using video today! Except... the camera isn't focused on herself at all, it's the shaggy head of a yak calf who has decided to sprawl against Euri and is currently getting a very thorough brushing. They're in Gefion Park, sitting on the overgrown grass, and further away an energetic, great dane-sized wolfdog can be seen circling around a bunch of goats munching away at the various foliage. Euri isn't particularly concerned since Dog isn't trying to eat them but herd them, like he did with the goats back home.]

Dog is definitely enjoying himself, at least. It's been months since he's gotten to herd anything. [She hums a little, clearly pleased that Dog is happy, before focusing on the calf.]

This guy is, too! Aren't you? You're so cute! And you're just a baby, too!

[She ruffles his ears and resumes brushing him, that humming quickly turning into the first verse of this song before she remembers to shut the feed off.]

Do animals usually understand your speech in your world, Euri-san?

Sometimes! It depends on the animal, though.

Oh, yes? In what sense? Would these goats?

Nah, a goat's just a goat. You'd have to find someone like a goat demon. But then, demons aren't like normal animals at all.

No indeed, demons don't sound like normal animals. But can any animal have a demon version?

You know, I'm not sure. But I think if that's the case it would be the other way around - every demon has an animal version.

[Okay, just switching to match her audio--not like he's doing anything interesting anyway.]

... But I suppose that's a bit far afield of what you can be expected to know. It's certainly nice that you're being so kind as to sing to the yaks, though.

[Oh good, he's one step ahead of her, so she doesn't need to bother saying 'what do you mean by causality?']

Um - yeah! And even if they can't understand the lyrics there's no reason they can't enjoy the melody, right?

...Where'd that thing even come from?

The yak? He was wandering around the park eating the plants.

It's called Sir Eglamore. It's about a knight fighting fighting a dragon! [So exciting!!]

[He's heard Euri sing before, of course, and honestly enjoys it. But when he wades up through the herd with Goat in tow ('cause he might as well let her take advantage of all the flora with her animal kin while it's here), he can't help but interject.]

Think you'd have an easier time telling the story if half of it wasn't gibberish.

[He's teasing, of course. But knowing Euri she'll get all huffy over it. And he next tilts his head a little at the yak babbu.] Not that that guy's complaining, of course.

[He knows her too well. She frowns at him, looking very close to huffy.]

Those lines make the song cuter. I bet he likes it cuter.

I don't think yaks even know what the word 'cute' is, Euri.

[And once he's at a somewhat less crowded space, he lets Goat start to graze. He'll still be keeping an eye on her, though, to make sure he doesn't lose track of her.]

You never know!

[She'll glance over, petting the yak's ears as she watches.]

How is Goat doing?

Fine. Not poisoned yet, so that's always a plus.

[He'd had a scare the night before when she'd tried to eat some suspicious looking weeds, but apparently she hadn't ingested enough or any at all to make her sick.]

[The guy at the feed store had given him a quick drawing of the most common ones, but it wasn't comprehensive by any means.]

Mhmm! I could even show you some pictures.

Oh, how exciting. Perhaps you'll inspire the yak to fight a ... knight.

Hah! Can you imagine how ridiculous that would look??

...they don't follow you around and moo when you're about to sleep, do they.
