[Lyon's face comes over the bracelet looking uncharacteristically embarrassed this time. It takes her a few moments to clear her mind and really think of what she wants to say, but when she does speak it's in a slow, calm, and measured voice that she's probably forcing herself pretty hard to adopt.]

It has recently come to my attention that I may have given some of you the wrong idea about the relationship I have with Freyjadour Falenas. Having found this out, I feel I owe it to those of you who know one or both of us - and more importantly, to Frey himself - to clear up the potential misunderstanding. The two of us are not, and never have been, romantically involved with one another. He's a very important friend that I've known since I was young, and we grew up side by side. We're really more like brother and sister than anything, and while it's true that we trust each other implicitly and would do almost anything for each other, we simply aren't on that level of intimacy. I apologize if the way I talk about him has been confusing or if it's given anyone a false impression of what things are like between us.

[Yeah, that was eight kinds of awkward, wasn't it. Lyon isn't sure if she should add anything else, so there's a few moments of hesitation here while she considers that.]

Speaking of which, I want to ask...what kind of duties do you do back home?

You said you were a knight right? What kind of world do you come from?

Yes, that's right. I come from the Queendom of Falena, and I'm a member of the Queen's Knights. I also serve as the personal bodyguard to our country's Prince.

It seems like you don't a lot of time being a Knight for the Queen. But at the same time, it seems like a lot of fun!

Hm...do you have any stories about your adventures you want tell me? I'm willing to listen!

Actually, a lot of the stories probably aren't very much fun. Falena just finished fighting a civil war.

Hm...while it might not be fun, I think that is interesting in itself.

What happened to cause a civil war or could it have been prevented. Was there any stories about heroism or any romance? Those kind of things!

There was a succession battle over who would be the next noble to marry the Princess of our country. The right is decided by a tournament called the Sacred Games, and one of the nobles rigged the games so his champion would win.

So did that result in a civil war or is there something else?

There's more. That same noble, several days after the Games ended, hired a guild of assassins to kill the rest of the royal family. The Princess' parents both died in the attack, and the Prince barely escaped with his life. The Princess is still young, so his plan was to marry her, have her crowned Queen, and then control the country himself from behind the throne.

That's...horrible! Why would anyone do something like that? That's just...so cruel.

It was terrible. None of us saw it coming at all. We all knew he was plotting something, but I don't think anyone expected something like that. He even framed one of the other Queen's Knights for organizing the attack. That's why the Prince and those still loyal to him organized a rebel army to take back the country.

Has is it...still going on or has there been any end to the war yet?

It ended just before I was brought here, thank goodness. But not without a lot of hardship and sacrifice on both sides.

I suppose that when you go back, there will be a lot of things to do. I just hope that nothing like that would happen again.

I don't think it will. There are a lot of changes happening at home to the way things are run that should prevent any one person from being able to obtain that much power all at once.

Oh? Like what?

The new Queen dissolved the Senate to make sure the nobles don't have too much power, and instead created a Parliament system with elected local representatives from all of the towns. That way, everyone gets to have a say in what's going on instead of only a few people controlling everything. She also abolished the Sacred Games to prevent anyone from grabbing power by rigging them again, and is going to choose her own husband when the time comes.

But at least in the meantime, everything is settled now and they're slowly changing their system into a more positive one right?

That's right. The country has been united in support of the new Queen, and we even have the backing of several foreign powers.
