[It's been something of an emotionally draining week for Sam. But Sam, as he usually does, slugged through it with a surprising amount of patience -- until he woke up that morning and Bobby was gone.

Sam systematically went through every single record on his bracelet. He also went through Bobby's room, to try and find Bobby's bracelet, just in case he took it off -- which he didn't. After the disaster with Sam, there was absolutely no way the older hunter would dare wander around outside without the silver band.

Three hours later, Sam has resigned himself to the truth, and posts a simple text to the network.]

Bobby Singer left the city.

I'm not going to be around for the next couple of days. Don't worry about me, alright? I'm fine. I just need space.

[Jo's been at the Arena, which has become sort of a daily routine for her. Wake up, get out of the house. But when she's packing up to head home - shower and change and continue on with the day - she doesn't expect to have a message.

Or for it to be that message.]

He's-. . . really? [She's having a harder time coming to terms with it than she should, but still.] When did he leave?

[Sam rubs at his eyes, exhausted.]

[She opens her mouth to say something, but stops.]

You okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.

[It's automatic -- but Sam pauses before he sighs, tired, and he closes the filter off to become completely private, so Dean doesn't see.]

He's the closest thing I had to an actual father, that's all.

[A nod, because she gets it. Really.]

Yeah... I know. He was good at that.

[She could probably say something along the lines of 'same for me' if she wanted to, but that wouldn't really help anyone. At least she has her mom. And it's not like Bobby is dead or anything.]

I've got a bottle of Jack if you're interested. [Because drinking solves everyone's problems, and it's her favorite way to deal.]

Dean is going to need it more than me.

[It's said automatically -- mostly because Sam isn't so much into the drinking away his sorrows. He missed out on that gene in the family.]

[And Sam trails off, uncertain of what exactly he needs, before he shrugs a little helplessly.]

[She raises his eyebrows at him, but doesn't say anything.]
