[It's been something of an emotionally draining week for Sam. But Sam, as he usually does, slugged through it with a surprising amount of patience -- until he woke up that morning and Bobby was gone.

Sam systematically went through every single record on his bracelet. He also went through Bobby's room, to try and find Bobby's bracelet, just in case he took it off -- which he didn't. After the disaster with Sam, there was absolutely no way the older hunter would dare wander around outside without the silver band.

Three hours later, Sam has resigned himself to the truth, and posts a simple text to the network.]

Bobby Singer left the city.

I'm not going to be around for the next couple of days. Don't worry about me, alright? I'm fine. I just need space.

[He doesn't know what else to say, but seeing Sam like that always hurts somewhere down in his chest.]

He might come back. People do, at times.

[He wants to tell Sam that doesn't matter, and that if it were Bobby's choice he wouldn't have left, but he doesn't. Instead he gives a firm nod.]

Yes.

[A pause.]

Wherever you are going, Sam, be careful while you are there.

It would be easier to list the times you are.

[He can't manage a smile in return, but the response itself is faintly teasing.]

You're welcome.

[He says it flatly, so it's hard to tell if he's being serious or going along with the sarcasm.]

I will speak with you when you return.
