[ The camera clicks on to reveal Simon, sitting in his room at Sigyn house. He looks nervous and he visibly takes in a deep breath to calm himself before he begins. ]
Um. [ Well. Excellent start there. ] For those of you that don't... know me, my name-- my name is Simon - Simon Tam - and I'm in Sigyn house. With, uh, with Healing.
[ A pause. What was his point again? Oh yes. Cue another deep breath. ]
I-- I would like to contribute to society here in some way and therefore I'm enquiring after some employment. In the medical field, if possible. Given recent... events, it seems my skills as a doctor could prove quite useful.
[ He reaches up a hand to tug nervously at his ear. ]
For what it-- For what it's worth, I am... very smart. Back home, I-- I graduated in the top three percent of my class at the best Medical Academy available and I successfully completed my internship within eight months as opposed to the standard year.
... I'm fairly certain there must be some medical practises here to which I could lend my services. I'm led to believe that there is a... clinic here of some sort?

Eventually, though, he tapped the door with his knuckles. ]
Um. Dr. Watson?

[The smile is warm, the handshake a little excessive, but you'll have to excuse Watson -- not only are Victorians big on strong, firm handshakes, but he's been looking forward to this interview. Simon's hand gets squeezed, and he gets sized up by Watson as the Victorian doctor waves him towards one of two armchairs set up by the desk.]
Please, take a seat.
[The office is not a crisp modern office, but something more akin to a Victorian drawing room. The desk is polished wood, the chairs upholstered and the fireplace unlit but elegant. However, the files and texts on the bookshelf are clearly medical in nature and the tools of Watson's trade in evidence about the room. It's also been very thoroughly disinfected -- Simon might catch the smell of sterile chemicals mingling with the faint scent of polish, leather and tobacco.]
