So there are seven [ It's a guess, which the number sounds like ] houses? And apparently there are more powers here than I thought. [ Whudda thunk it? ] So if you could just give me a shout with your house and power, I'd really appreciate it. [ Really really

Ne, a friend of mine made a list of all the powers, and my other friend has a group for people to learn how to use them. Are you interested in either of those or is Oneesan more interested in meeting people?

Hello, Paige. My name's Susan. Like you, I'm in Sigyn, but my power's Growth. [ a pause. ] My sister Lucy shares your power.

Someone told me that there are two powers for every house, though I don't know if that's true or not.

[Still getting used to talking to strangers, hello....]

Um, I'm Wally. I'm also in the Sigyn house, but I have the power of Growth instead.

House and power huh?

I'm from the Freya house with the ability to transfer power. But I'm still figuring out how.

Uh, some woman told me and then I ended up using it. [ It all sounded so simple, except it wasn't ]

Hey. [ She's making a mental note of that. And a mental note to buy some paper ]

Uh, the Teacher's Council, right? I've heard of that. [ Unless there were two similar things ] But that list would be nice.

Hey. I guess it's nice to be in the same house as her. [ She hoped that if Piper and Phoebe were here that they would be in Sigyn too - they'd found that being together worked well for them ] So, uh, what's Growth?

I think it is, since we don't have the same power. [ Same for Susan and her sister ]

Power transferring? [ Wow. That sounded high level Power of Three potion type thing. She'd never heard of it as a power ] That's... kind of scary.

Mm! That's right. You've already met Merlin-san?

It's... very reassuring, especially since being in a foreign land can be quite an unpleasant experience. I would much prefer it if we were given the same quarters, but I suppose that might be asking for too much. [ she smiles wryly. ]

It's the power necessary to accelerate the growth of plants, hence its name. I'm still trying to get used to having a power, really, but I suppose it's helpful that it's not something I can use without concentration and thought.

Hey! We're housemates, and we have the same power.

Someone from our house told me once how to use our power, but... it's kind of intimate.

Not in person. Not yet. [ But she's totally going to be going to those meetings ] But yeah.

And wow. [ She's taking a quick peek at that attachment ] That's a lot of stuff.

It's kind of old -- a lot of that's outdated or we've learnt more! The stuff about Body Control especially. I don't think Sam-san believed me when I told him it wasn't possession, but he's seen it used now and I think he gets it! But it's still the best guide to the powers here that we have.

Well at least she's nearby. Maybe you could ask someone to swap? [ It couldn't be too difficult, in theory ]

Oh. Well, that doesn't sound too bad. [ And now it's got a nifty description with it... mentally. She really needs that paper ]

How do you use it? Just out of curiosity.

[Something about that statement made him feel like he was at NA. Again.]

Ice... magic? You mean you can freeze things? [ Although even if he could it didn't sound like Piper's freezing, not with him saying ice ]

I... suppose? I haven't tried it that much. I um.. ran my fingers over the window of my room and it produced a myriad of ice crystals. Very fragile, though.

Well it makes sense that it wouldn't be very strong at first, and gets stronger with use. [ Pause ] Theoretically. [ She doesn't want to sound like an expert ]

Well, apparently, there's kissing involved. Of course, no one should care too much about it during an emergency, but it makes for some really awkward situations under less dire circumstances.
