[Video | Day 147 (open to action and threadjacking!)]
Ah -- everyone, be really alert! And I mean really, really alert! A dragon flew over the city and he dropped something in Hel -- um, can I get a shot of it please ... thank you!
[It's just like a live broadcast from an unfolding event ... if live broadcasts were made by seven-year-olds and the background crowd was dotted by people without faces. At any rate, enough of the curious bystanders step back to reveal a tarnished metal cannister that has sprung open on impact but otherwise had no other effect and is being given a cautious distance by the crowd.]
The last time a dragon flew over the city, it was to declare war -- and he started a lot of fires too! That was pretty scary, and a lot of people got hurt. This hasn't started a fire, so it's possible it didn't work and the dragon might be back. So please, be very careful today, and let people know immediately if you spot anything strange!
[Walking away from the crowd (and the lingering smoke) Conan adds in a lower tone:]
It's possible that if you're new, this is the first you've heard about the war. Edmund-kun has a summary of events and I wrote up the first dragon visit, so I'll link those in a bit. If you're still worried or have other questions, ask! If I don't answer, I'm sure someone else who has been here longer will!
[Filtered to members of the Forensics Unit:]
No injuries -- luckily -- but it'd be a good idea to get whatever that thing is away from people as soon as we can. I'd like a couple of tarpulins, some crime scene tape and start asking around for a local expert in bomb disposal. I've had a look, but it's not like anything I've seen before.
[Don't question the fact that this kid knows bombs okay.]
[Non-filtered attachments:]
Edmund-kun's compilation.
My guide -- it's a WIP still, I'm sorry!

[She's suppressing the urge to break into coughing as she speaks, and thus sounds a little raspy.]
There's one in Freya, too. But no one's hurt, and the smoke doesn't seem like it's harmful to anyone... It just tastes strange.
video;
Ah, if there's smoke, you should move away! Even if it's not harmful, it can't be good for you, right?

It looks like a bomb, but it failed to explode on impact. Which could just mean that it didn't work but ... it seems there was more than one of them.

Things are pretty much alright over in Loki. Few folks freaked out, but nothing dropped here.
no subject
So far, so good! I'd feel better if the thing he dropped wasn't still here, but.
That's good news at least!

Lots of thoughts.

With what happened the last time a dragon flew over the city it's to be expected.

Is this the best they can do? Drop some mysterious objects into Asgard to spread mass panic and hysteria?
It's possible they're using this to gauge our reactions.

[Because obviously every NYC cop has been trained and/or remembers the Anthrax scare. She's just...hoping that isn't the case. Here. She really doesn't want to deal with that, thanks.]

There was some smoke when I arrived, but it dissipated. No obvious ill effects and I didn't think too much of it, until I got word that two more cannisters dropped one in Thor, one in Freya. None exploded, and the kid who found the one in Thor reported a lot of smoke.

Is this just happening in the city? My friends went away to Utgard... Is there any way to know?

Ah ... no way that I can think of. Our bracelets don't broadcast that far.

Might be a scare tactic, to show we're still sitting ducks if they send that guy back.
[But then, why didn't they take the opportunity to do more damage...?]

It's probably better still to be safe than sorry in case [ auto flinch ] Detective Beckett is right. I can draw whatever supplies no one's able to get too.
And I'm glad you're all right, boss Please stay safe. Okay?
[ ᴠıᴅᴇᴏ ➡ Ғıʟᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ ]
That sounds a good idea. Let Detective Beckett know that you're available to help with supplies -- and she was suggesting I get checked out by someone in the hospital. It might be a good idea for you to do that if you're going to be there anyway, just in case they turn up some new info about this.

You were present for the previous attack, were you not? Did you see the dragon then?

It's hard to be sure at this distance, but if not the same dragon, it was very like, Arthur-san.
