So the elves of Álfheim have proclaimed their allegiance to the gods of Asgard. [ a deliberate pause; he doubts the same thought (doubt) has occurred to many, but if there's a chance that he can help plant it—. ] I admit, that leaves me wondering as to the allegiances of the other realms; this world is far more than Asgard and Utgard and Thrymheim. [ a touch of wry amusement. he pauses, gaze flickering downwards momentarily — one might assume it's out of thought, but he knows what he wants to say and how, and as such, the pause, the appearance is exactly that: for appearances. ] Svartálfheim, Vanaheim, Nidavellir, Muspelheim—. [ a beat and a shrug. ] If the gods of Asgard are so truly bent on circumventing this war, in defeating the giants before they've a chance to be defeated themselves, I suspect we'll find that they'll be scrambling about between themselves in search of trust and allies. We've already been told that the horrors recently visited upon the city were part of an attack. If emotions are the foundation of Asgard, where we will be placed when the gods seek to right perceived wrongs? When defence and prevention becomes not the preserve of Asgard alone, and offence is considered the only answer left.
[ despite his words, loki looks relatively unconcerned, and it's a prelude to his next point: ]
Aladdin's recent announcement as to the discovery of our ability to use the innate power of Asgard, of Yggdrasil has given me thought, along with [ a slight twitch of his lips. ] the Doctor's query as to how one might travel between the realms and universes. Whilst Odin [ a touch of bitterness ] might seek to portray otherwise, the Æsir aren't the only beings with the power to travel between the two. The magic of Svartálfheim, the access to the doorway between realms may be beyond our reach, but if rune magic is not—. [ a smile and an audible exhale (satisfied). ]
It's perhaps for the best that the Norn are without alliances. Should we not too take inspiration from independence?
[ loki moves as if to end the feed but stops suddenly, a look of thought briefly passing across his features. ] —Arya, Caterina, the Pevensie siblings: I intend on travelling as soon as circumstances allow. If you wish to be kept abreast, do let me know.
( ooc: anyone else wanting to get involved with loki's schemes (one + two) can ofc still do so! it's never too late x( )

And guess who also isn't going to believe anything you say. ]
Y'know, somehow, I don't really get the impression that you care too much about the outcome, here. [ A wave of his hand. ] I dunno, I could be biased though. Past experience, panes of glass, giant. Alien things. Manhattan. Again, might just be my bias.
video.
[ you know, for him and his goals but whatever. details. why do you and bruce have to re-arrive just when he's settling into things proper. BAD TIMING, MAN.
almost as an afterthought— ] But I promise you this won't be a repeat of New York.
video.
He may also be a wizard. ]
See, I'm not really sure I buy it. [ And there's a pointed point. ] You? Buckets of crazy. I think - [ A pause, just for the effect. ] - that you've got something planned. Because that's what it was with you. I'm willing to bet you've got another plot in mind.

Well, I won't say that I'm simply going to sit idly by and watch as the [ p a u s e. ] gods send us all to war.
video.
Yeah, I can see that. [ He's checked out the other replies. He just has to figure out why you're so keen on going and talking ~peace~. Because like hell he believes that that's really what you're after.
But for now, he's going to sit back, raise his glass. ] -by the way, I still owe you that drink, don't I? How about: you come back and don't bring an army of giants to smash us all, and I'll make good on the offer. That is, of course, unless you need a chaperone. Which, hey, I don't see your brother [ specific mention there, yep, as if you need a babysitter ] around, maybe that's not such a bad idea.
video.
and you should take a leaf from fury's book, tony, and realise that loki talking about peace is very much like him talking about freedom: he means the other thing.
also, the most unimpressed look at the mention of thor-as-his-brother. the most. ]
Shall I hold you to that?

Feel like elaborating on the "alien things" bit?

[ And there's a wave of his hand. ] Sure, why not. Everyone's favorite Jonas brother here [ there's a gesture, to indicate Loki ] decided to throw a tantrum and tried to take over the Earth recently, with the help of his ugly friends, the Cheetos, Chitters, something like that. Chitauri? Nasty suckers who fly with their faces and have huge alien whales to carpool on. Pretty much destroyed parts of New York, before we stopped them.

No one ever appreciates the bowtie. Finally someone understands.
[ A pause, and his expression turns more somber. He wishes he could be more surprised... ]
Shame. I almost liked him.
A lot of casualties?
