first wing Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ video

Wow. The longer I stay in this place the longer I realize how absolutely mind-numbingly idiotic it is.

[Hey, Asgardians. Say hi to the jerk on the other end of the camera, who is dressed in a very bright purple suit and seems completely unimpressed by anything that's around him at the moment.]

Really, all this talk about "other worlds" and such...what, I'm supposed to just take that at face value? No scientific explanations or anything? Really, I thought that somebody might've come up with some really confusing quantum equation that explains how they just nabbed us all from wherever we come from without disrupting the time continuum or something, but all I've gotten is just "magic".

Not that magic doesn't exist or anything, because it does in certain other forms where I come from, but I've never seen anything like this.

[And then he lets out a scoff.]

Also, anyone mind telling me about these so-called "gods" of ours? Personally, I find it hard to believe that we're just supposed to blindly follow these people without any evidence of what they can do. Okay, sure, they can bypass all scientific laws and give us powers to use, but that doesn't make them gods. Where's the omniscience, the omnipotence, the whole "we're all-powerful and can smite anyone we wish" sort of thing? All I'm just seeing is talk and fear that they might not win some stupid war to save our worlds, and frankly, I'm not impressed.

Not one bit.

Also, one more quick question- which one of you actually knows what a Moth is? And no, I'm not talking about the fuzzy little insect that flaps around lights and such.

...That's not what I am.

[The attitude here reminds her of Tom, both for better and for worse. That's not really why she replies (since she's always willing to help and answer questions), but that is why she's smiling as if she's amused.]

Actually, there are scientific explanations and formulas to explain dimension travel, as it's known in my world. It's not an area of my specialty, and it may not even apply here, which is why it is perhaps easier to take it at the explanation of "magic," for that is a large part of it as well.

But for our gods... There is not much to be known. They are secretive beings that largely keep to themselves, and we have been told to not base our perceptions of them on the Norse gods we may know in our worlds. What little I can tell you, however, largely relates to their personalities and what their godship corresponds to based on the Norse myths of my world.

That I may at least answer with confidence. The gods told us several months ago that time did not pass in our worlds in our absence, and I can confirm this as truth. This is my second time to be in the city of Asgard, and indeed, though a few months passed here, it was but perhaps five minutes in my home.

[But, explanation out of the way, she smiles] No prayers are needed. And I believe that they do not expect them either. It is god for those of us whose faith lies elsewhere, or I imagine in your case, perhaps a lack thereof.

That I do not know. Death here is not permanent, and those that are killed are brought back to life, but the long term consequences of this have not been observed, and as far as I know, no one who has died has returned to their world and returned. But returning here at all after leaving is a rare occurrence, so it's difficult to say.

Though it's things like that does make people, myself included, regard them as true gods. That is a personal decision, however. Since they do not ask for our worship, it seems irrelevant as to whether you regard their status as a deity as true or not.

I would not say zombies... [She would say Black Lanterns. No, wait, I would. But she picks up on the implication there, so asks with a note of curiosity:] And forgive me for prying, but your statement makes me wonder—Why do you call yourself undead?

I don't think anyone around here worships them, if that's what you're getting at.

No, they weren't always faceless. I don't know what happened to them to make them that way, but since the gods pulled us here they've pretty much gone back to normal. Same with the city. [Saw that with her own eyes, yep.]

[He... brings up a very interesting thought.] ... You know, I think the only people who've become faceless since we all showed up were people who lost their bracelets. I'm not sure if any native people have.

I guess your world doesn't have Norse mythology. [Because the gods don't seem that unusual when viewed through that lens.]

They'd make more sense if you read more. They're just like that. Still powerful.

[Iceland's voice is laced with more irritation.] When did I say they were completely powerful? There's just nothing you can do to them.

Unfortunately, scientific explanation is rather difficult without the experimental method available--and it's only available to them.

It's not about being sure. It's semantics. The word "god" in your world isn't going to apply across universes; therefore, what constitutes a god here probably won't match up to your point of view.

It's not a lie. They never said anything about being gods as we personally understand them.

It's pretty inconvenient, yeah.
