[Alexis is sitting in the middle of the library, with a sizable stack of books sitting next to her. There's books about all kinds of things, from mythology and magic to history and philosophy. It's pretty clear that Alexis is in her happy place, though even this can't really replace what she left back home: that is, going to college and starting a new chapter of her life.

But as far as she is concerned, this could be worse. She has her dad, and he's got his friends (namely a certain detective), and at least they can be together.

After awhile of turning pages, Alexis closes the book she's reading and she stretches and yawns. A thought comes to her as she surveys the shelves upon shelves of books.]

Am I the only one here who actually misses school? [She knows she'll have to stop thinking about going to Columbia, at least for now. And maybe this will help her make new friends who think along the same lines that she does.]

Ah, yes, my ever-studious daughter has found the library in Odin and holed herself up with a bunch of books.

[He smiles fondly at her though his heart is breaking. Castle hates that she's here and not at Columbia right now.]

I love it here, Dad. [She's been to quite a few libraries, but there's just something about this one.] I can't believe how many books there are!

...I never went to school. [ He said very bluntly. Never once had he set foot inside a school, though he'd seen students all over the place. There was a pause, before he said quieter, almost muttering. ]

I think it's a lot of fun, but I know a lot of people don't think so. There's homework and tests, and it's usually a lot of work, but I think that's the fun part. [Alexis looks curious, because she doesn't know very many people who never went to school.]

I missed it before I realised that they'd let me work at the hospital as an intern to learn. It's like school only cooler because we get to do really cool stuff.

Really? Wow, that is cool!

Back home, I got to work at the precinct and shadow a medical examiner. [She pauses, thinking about both of those things. They both were learning experiences.] I definitely learned a lot.

I miss some things about it - but the size of the Library kind of makes up for the learning aspect at least.

I'll say it does. I've never seen a library this big before.

I just graduated high school, and I was about to start at Columbia before coming here. [She shrugs.] I'm not really sure what I want to be just yet, but I have time to figure that out.

If it were possible to miss something you've never had? Nope. I'd miss it too. What are you reading? [ Hanako's one of the few girls in her age bracket she knows for certain like to read as much as she does... ]

It's a book on mythology. I thought it seemed to fit, seeing how we're supposed to be in a place with gods and things like that.
