[Sam is in the library (as per usual) but he doesn't seem to be doing any work. Instead, he's picking through his lunch, and he offers a vague smile toward the bracelet.]
It's getting cooler... and the way the weather is shifting, I'd say it's almost fall. So... what do you do around this time of year? And more importantly -- well, not really, because the holiday is kind of stupid, but what do you know about Halloween?
[So it leads into something kind of silly, but Sam Winchester needs a distraction, and talking about this is better than focusing on the fact that his father is around and has little idea who he is.
