[The feed flicks on to reveal a rather irritated-looking Lyon.  However, the words out of her mouth and the cheerful tone she's using don't match the expression on her face whatsoever.]

You know, I was thinking... maybe I've been too quick to judge the gods and their motives.  I mean, they're making the best of a bad situation, after all.  Actually, it was really nice of them to let us have a say in what happens to our worlds in the first place.

[There's a pause as she grits her teeth, but only praise flows from her mouth when she opens it again.]

We should really be thanking them for everything they've done for us.  After all, it isn't as if they have to give us a place to live or food to eat, or even grant us these powers.  Maybe we should take this opportunity to try to understand them a little more instead of arguing with everything they have to say.

[A deep sigh and a cough.]

Just... think about it, all right?  We've all been a little too hard on them.

[At this point, she lets out a noise not unlike a growl before shutting off the feed.]

((OOC: Lyon's mouthed off on the feed one too many times, and it looks like Heimdall's finally had enough of it.  If anyone has ever heard the phrase 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all,' that's more or less what's going on here.  For the next week, whenever Lyon feels the urge to lecture someone, correct them in a harsh tone, disagree with something someone has said or even just complain about things, she will be able to utter only words of glowing praise in place of whatever it is she actually wants to say.))

[Lyon has left the door unlocked. She can be found in the main room trying to relax but doing a bad job of it, sitting and standing and pacing and sitting again in sequence.]

[ There's a knock before she realizes that the door is unlocked. She opens the door and enters the apartment, carrying a small box. ]

Hi.

[sparkling_eyes]

Oh, Nina... hello.

[Lyon smiles politely, bowing a little.]

Thanks for coming.

[imhome]

No problem. I brought some cookies, if you're hungry. [ She gestures to the box. ]

[sparkling_eyes]

That's very thoughtful, thank you.

[Lyon bows her head gratefully, walking over and opening it up.]

Oh, they smell delicious!

[imhome]

I didn't do much. They're from the café where I work.

[ The box contains a dozen chocolate chip cookies. ]

I hope you like them!

[sparkling_eyes]

[Lyon smiles, taking one out and trying a bite.]

It's good!

I'm glad!

How have you been lately, Nina?

[imhome]

I've been fine.

I'm worried about you, though. This is a curse, isn't it?

[sparkling_eyes]

[Lyon sighs a bit, but doesn't respond. She can't admit that it is, after all, since that would be badmouthing the gods.]

[imhome]

[ An understanding nod. ]

I'm sorry. I know this must be difficult.

[sparkling_eyes]

...You should try one of the cookies, too.

[No sense trying to talk about things she can't.]

[ Her smile returns, and she takes a cookie. ]

Mm! Not bad.

[sparkling_eyes]

Sit down and relax for a while if you want. You're actually the first company we've had since we moved here.

[imhome]

[ She nods, taking a seat. ] Thanks.

"We"?

[sparkling_eyes]

Oh... I live here with a friend from home. He isn't here now, though.

[imhome]

What's his name?

[sparkling_eyes]

His name is Freyjadour. Most people call him Frey for short.

[imhome]

[ Her smile brightens. ]

I'm glad you have each other. [ It's nice to know that they're not alone in Asgard. ]

[sparkling_eyes]

I am too. I don't know what I'd do without him here.

[imhome]

I'm sure he feels the same way about you.

[sparkling_eyes]

We've been together since we were kids, so we're used to it.

[imhome]

[ A nod. ]

How long have you both been in Asgard?

[sparkling_eyes]

I've been here for almost three months, but he was already here when I arrived.
