[The feed flicks on to reveal a rather irritated-looking Lyon.  However, the words out of her mouth and the cheerful tone she's using don't match the expression on her face whatsoever.]

You know, I was thinking... maybe I've been too quick to judge the gods and their motives.  I mean, they're making the best of a bad situation, after all.  Actually, it was really nice of them to let us have a say in what happens to our worlds in the first place.

[There's a pause as she grits her teeth, but only praise flows from her mouth when she opens it again.]

We should really be thanking them for everything they've done for us.  After all, it isn't as if they have to give us a place to live or food to eat, or even grant us these powers.  Maybe we should take this opportunity to try to understand them a little more instead of arguing with everything they have to say.

[A deep sigh and a cough.]

Just... think about it, all right?  We've all been a little too hard on them.

[At this point, she lets out a noise not unlike a growl before shutting off the feed.]

((OOC: Lyon's mouthed off on the feed one too many times, and it looks like Heimdall's finally had enough of it.  If anyone has ever heard the phrase 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all,' that's more or less what's going on here.  For the next week, whenever Lyon feels the urge to lecture someone, correct them in a harsh tone, disagree with something someone has said or even just complain about things, she will be able to utter only words of glowing praise in place of whatever it is she actually wants to say.))

[She always hates the curses that affect someone's free will somehow. Changing their appearance is one thing, but getting into their minds... that's beyond sick.]

Is this all you can say? Like, is it all that comes out when you open your mouth, or can you talk about other things?

okay. [Not cursed as badly as she suspected.]

[Not entirely, of course, but at least there's nothing physically wrong.]

[Lyon turns on the video at this point, because Nakama's right and it's all she's able to use to convey how she really feels. Needless to say, her expression is not amused.]

I'm happy for your concern, but I really just want everyone to get along with the gods.

[On video, Lyon can see how concerned Nakama really looks - and also, how sickly she looks. She's visibly lost weight, and her skin is very pale. She drops her voice as though that'll somehow keep the gods off their message:]

This won't last long, Lyon. Don't worry. The individual ones never last too long.

[Lyon nods, and then her expression immediately flips to one of concern, her previous irritation forgotten in a moment as she catches sight of Nakama's face.]

...Nakama! What's wrong? Are you feeling sick?

[She hangs her head a little, eyes averted.]

I... haven't been sleeping well. Or eating very well, either. But I'm living with a couple of friends now, and they're helping me through it... I'll be fine, honestly. [Looking back up with a smile.]

[She's heard that so many times and brushed it off - what can anyone do? - but this time, she does have a request to make.]

Um... when I get feeling a bit stronger, can I train some more with you? Yifei's a bit tough, and I don't know that she'd allow for my slippage after so long not training, but I know from the time all our bodies got swapped that you're willing to go easy on me when I need it.

I don't mind, and I admire your dedication, but you do need to wait until you have your strength back. You could hurt yourself otherwise.

I feel like I've finally hit my limit, though... I finally know what I can't do. And I hate that feeling. I wanted to be able to help in every way, but now I'm held back by my own sensitivity. I can't - I can't kill again. Ever.

[Lyon knows how hard that is firsthand. And she also knows there's really not much she can say to make this any easier.]

I had to fight them back, after what they did to me. I didn't want anyone else going through that... but so many people did. Even with all the people that fought, so many people died. I killed human beings, with my own hands, and it was pointless.

[She kind of missed the 'come and find me' part, didn't she? Sometimes it just comes pouring out and she can't help it.]

[She turns big, wounded eyes back to the camera, her expression half really? and half please, please tell me you mean that.]

Nakama... I'm a knight. I've seen war. I've been there myself. I know what it looks like. Fighting in one doesn't make you a bad person.

I didn't enjoy it. [She says this quickly.] I've seen my own kind of war, too, and I saw someone enjoy killing. I wasn't like that. That's better... right?
