[ It's dark. The only bit of light is that which is reflected in yellow eyes and even that's not much, barely visible. There are a lot of sounds though. Actually, there are mostly sounds for now. Whimpering, screeching, the fluttering of feathers. Only the whimpering is coming from her, though. The rest of the sounds are coming from the ravens that are after her ( funny, right? Ravens chasing Raven? Remind her to laugh about it later ). They're the reason for the scratches on her face, jagged red lines showing up brilliantly on her blue skin, once she finally stumbles into a place bright enough for Raven to be visible.
And for the ravens to be kept at bay for the moment.
The lights are flickering though and she jumps every time it seems like they might go out completely ]
The birds. And the natives, they- What happened to them?
[ But she quickly slaps a hand over her mouth as though afraid someone might hear. It's what she wants, though, for someone to hear. Someone over the network, at least, not someone out there. Out there is dangerous. She tried to be strong. She actually went out searching for people, in hopes of keeping them from ending up in the kind of situation that she's in now. She was hoping that the dark blue of her skin would help her blend in with the dark or something, keep her from being seen by whatever's out there.
But nope. Everything went to hell and now she's lost and alone ( she hasn't been here long enough to really know her way around yet ), injured and a little scared. The scratches are the least of her injuries, but none of them really matter currently, as long as she isn't moving. Or doesn't have to move, for that matter ]
Erik, what's going on?

You have to find light. Get inside, if you can, and turn all the lights on. They'll stay away from light. Are you near any God Houses?

[She moves to the window and peers out, watching the carnage with blank eyes.]
Like I said, you want to get inside someplace where there's a lot of light. A God House would be preferable, because there are supplies there if this lasts... for a long time.

[He doesn't mean it to sound the way it does - and as Raven can probably tell, there is a level of desperation hidden in those words. He just got you back. You left and he got you back and then you decide to go out again?
Okay Erik, take a breath. He's still angry, but a little more controlled.]
Are you hurt? Where are you?

[ She certainly has. Her eyes have been practically glued to the network since she'd arrived not long before. Mostly she'd been wanting to get a feel for the place and what the people were like before she showed her face on the network again. But then things took a turn and she'd wanted to do something to help, no matter what orders Erik gave her. She hadn't been about to just sit by and watch the goings on like Charles had wanted her to do that day she turned away from him ]
You and Charles, you both expect me to just sit back and do nothing-
[ But she stops when there's more fluttering in the dark. She knows she has nothing to worry about as long as she stays in that bit of light, if what the other people said is true, and if what she's noticed herself is true. But still, they're out there and if the lights go out like they're threatening to do... ]
I just hurt my leg and the birds scratched me. I'm alright. I'm not sure where I am, though. I think I'm in my District. Heimdall.

[Raven don't you understand? These people, they don't mean anything to him. To be quite honest, there are a few he wishes would die from this, get Taken or whatever you wanted to call it. He had no loyalties to these people and she most certainly did not either.
But he's not going to argue with her now.]
I expect you to be safe, to not risk your neck walking outside when this could have been avoided if you listened to me.
[He forgot how much he worried about you okay, give him a break. :|]
I'm not far from there. Can you see anything to pinpoint where you are? And find a stronger source of light.

[ But she knew better than to even bring it up before she slipped out the door. They can get into that later, though. This isn't really the time for it ]
I think I might see the bank, but I'm not sure and I don't really want to go and see it for sure.

The bank. That was a start.]
No, don't move out of that light. I'm on my way.
[And it takes him a little while after he turns off the bracelet, actually sprinting through the streets in his attempts to reach Mystique. He makes it to the bank with only a few cuts and bruises, looking more than just a little frantic but with good cause - he'd seen enough just on his way over to be worried about Mystique's safety.
He pulls himself under the light at the front of the bank, pulling back up his bracelet and calling her.]
I'm at the bank.
action? I can change everything...
Run! [He calls out to whoever it was under attack there, hoping nothing worse will cross her path. He will catch up to protect and lead her to safety just as soon as he deals with the birds. Or at least, that's what he tells himself as his face is ferociously ripped at.]

Are you coming? [ That's it before she quickly eyes a stronger source of light than the one she found originally and takes off running toward it. She thinks about looking back over her shoulder to see if he's coming with her but she doesn't. Instead, she covers her head and runs, ducking under the attacking birds, falling to her hands and knees a few times. But she gets right back up every time. She can't make the man's effort be all for nothing, right?
Heading for the light. Funny right? But she runs anyway until she's close to a light source, close enough to keep the things in the dark at bay. It's as soon as she's in the light that she turns around and considers running back out to help him. But it's when she stops running that she remembers that pain in her leg that she'd told Erik about, the one that hadn't even so much as crossed her mind when this stranger told her to run ] Come on! Run! Hurry!

The rest of her words are lost in the shrieking of the birds, the flap of their wings, their screams when the metal rips their bodies and the sharp sounds of their talons against his skin. He moves almost blindly in the cloud of dark feathers but the more he slashes, the more cautious they become and a path eventually emerges for him.
By the time he follows there's blood all over his face, neck and arms, but his spirits are high.]
Are you harmed? [He struggles to catch his breath.] Come on - [His hand moves to close around her wrist, to lead her away from the street and into safety] we must find you shelter. They will not keep away for long.
