I would like to know what sort of work there is, for I am not a man keen on being idle. I don't have many skills as a labourer, however, but I served in Her Majesty's Army for nearly twenty years. Soldier by profession, hunter by hobby. A good shot, but I doubt there is much in that line of work here. Still, I should be glad to give most work a try, particularly for a salary.

In addition, I suppose there is nowhere to hunt here. Is there a place where, once I have the necessary funds, I may purchase a firearm of some sort? I should not like to fall out of practice, and I would be much more comfortable, I admit, knowing I've at least a revolver at the ready. Old habits, you understand.

You do seem a bit more level-headed than his face-twin, though, so maybe he will allow a first impression before assuming you are anything like the other two.]

There is plenty of work to be had, but most of it calls for much less effort than you seem to have experience with and a good majority of those jobs would probably be a waste of talent.

As for the firearm, I do not specifically know of a place to buy it, but the city is quite large. I'm sure you can find something somewhere, if you're clever enough.

I can't worry about getting a gun, really, until my finances are in order to afford one. What sort of work is there, if I may ask? I'd be happy to do just about anything I could be capable at, at least for a time. A man doesn't like to just go about in the world, unable to provide for himself.

Waiting, store clerks, business attendants, that sort of thing. It all depends on what you can find that isn't already taken - I also believe there is a sort of school for fighting. The Citadel. It might be worth looking into.

I did just get done being something of a personal secretary and valet for a gentleman of means, so I think I will give waiting a pass for the time being.

Someone else did mention the school, though, and indicated that they don't believe there's a class in firearms. Still, sadly, that requires the funds of arms and ammunition.

I will certainly keep your suggestions in mind.
