Fourth Catch - Voice

So, I have a quick question.

[There is the sound of a rustling bag and then the sound of someone crunching down on something. Since it's Finnick and he likes sweets, it's probably just a sugar cube. There is a few moments of silence still before he speaks again.]

I've noticed that some people get really surprised when they encounter someone that doesn't want to leave this place. Is there anyone out there that doesn't want to go back to their world? Besides the obvious people I know of course.

We can't be the only ones that want to stay, right?

I'll admit that while there are things I wouldn't mind getting back to at some stage or another, I'm in no particular hurry to leave either. It's not like you get an opportunity like this every day after all, and I don't see why I shouldn't make the most of it.

[Hearing of other people that don't want to go back makes Diva happy, because she's definitely one of them. Of course, for one, she has nothing to go back to since she was dead, but even if that weren't the case, she would love to stay here. This world offers her such freedom, after all. She smiles at the feed, giving a little nod.]

You're not. I definitely want to stay here, no matter what.

I do not mind it here. I would like to go home eventually.

[Annie's still not quite sure about the place yet, but so far nothing bad had happened. Plus Finnick said it was safe so truly that's all she needed to know.]

Some want to leave?

For some people, it's more complicated than just "stay or leave." But if things could stay like this forever... selfishly, I'd like it.

To be honest, there's nothing waiting for me back home. So, no, I'm not looking to leave this place either.

Why would you want to stay here?

If... I had the choice, I want to stay here, too.

That's the spirit! I don't think this place is that bad at all, and compared to where I'm from its definitely a breath of fresh air.

Might as well make the best of the stay and meet new people. There are a lot of sweets here I cant get back home anyway!

I agree if I had a choice in going back or staying, I would definitely choose to stay.

[Of course Finnick hasn't told anyone his reasons for staying but it wasn't so far fetched that he would want to still take himself out of Panem and the Capitol completely.]

How come eventually? Is there someone waiting for you?

I guess so. But then again we are safe here so I like it here better than Panem. Do you like it here Annie?

I think if I could as be selfish I would want things to stay like this too. Things are definitely complicated as far as my world goes and I'm sure we aren't the only ones with that situation.

It's interesting at the very least and getting to know more about people is always enjoyable, I find. Though ha ha, it's funny to me that the sweets here are something you would focus on.

[Because she was using video, Finnick turned his on giving a small smile and a nod of his head.]

Well everyone I care about is here and if we all stay then I would rather stay too.

Several reasons. The biggest is that its nicer here.

Me too. I don't want to be sent back anytime soon for several reasons.

Well there are other reasons but I hate to bring down a good mood.

[She smiled back.]

Exactly. My whole family is here and I'd rather not leave them.

[She pauses and a small look of worry crosses her face.]

If we want to stay...you don't think they'd send us away, do you?

If they're aspects that you find positive do you think it's likely that discussing them would bring down your good mood?

[He can think of plenty of reasons why that could be, but it's hard to turn down an opportunity for mild and covert provocation when one prevents itself]

Well, just being here is complicated for some people. There are some who can't go home, so they won't be seeing their loved ones again anyway... this is all they have left, and they want to make it last as long as possible.

I have friends I would like to see again. Things I need to do there that cannot be done here, too.

There ain't nothin' at home fer me. Folks here 're a fuck o' a lot nicer.

Th' free bed an' breakfast's a nice perk, too.

Beats lookin' fer work jus' to survive.

[Her eyebrows furrow as she thinks for several moments, obviously giving that question some serious thought. Finally she nods.]

I think so. [She smiles a bit.] I like the food better here.

If... you don't mind, what kind of reasons?
