[The bracelet had been a very convenient and pleasing thing to throw to the floor. It was a creation of this world, this world reeking of magic and Uther no longer wanted anything to do with it. In landing, it starts recording on its own and shows Uther's profile as he swipes out an arm and knocks over the lamp on the night table by his bed (it's probably a good thing that it's not on).

And then, he starts pacing, with long, loud steps and the Pendragon red cloak billowing with every turn. The light may be dim in the room, but the anger in his expression is quite easy to make out - all it hides is the troubled hint to it, as that's far less obvious.

Finally, he kicks the bracelet further away, in under the bed and before the recording cuts off, he leans on the night table with his jaw and shoulders tense and he may not be young, but he certainly looks even older.]

((OOC: This is backdated to shortly after this log where a nasty falling out between him and Arthur is meant to take place. So Uther is very moody and feeling like he's lost all his footing with no idea what to do.

Easier to run. Easier to hide. Nobody depends on you, and you're only responsible for your own needs, and nobody else's. It makes a lot of things in life simpler.

Well... yes. Anyone is dangerous if enough pressure's put on them, but yes I am dangerous. I prefer it if people stay away from me, most days. I kind of fit right in with the little house of horrors, whether I like it or not. But, most of it's that there's just been some ... unpleasantness I've been avoiding the last year.

I'm a very hard woman to convince. Lies, manipulations, illusions and magic can deceive people to think any of a number of things, and some things in my world are the sort to make deals with others. Hell, I've even seen people open portals to other worlds before.

I don't know that I'm getting as much a breather as I'd like, even if it is a little calmer than the week before I got here was.

They might be fooling us. Obviously.

I would almost assume that they are, in part, doing so automatically. It is more a question of how, where, when, and how much.

Any ideas yet? This world is one big mystery.

More and more, I do not doubt we're brought here to deal with 'something.' There's obvious enemies in the area, and I can promise you the gray's very real. If our moods bring color to this place, those things all play together.

Where I imagine they're not as honest with us is what they intend for us to do. We're tools, expendable tools that can be repaired and brought back to the field. We're here to fight their battles, either for them or beside them or beneath them. Why? That's a more open question. I don't know these fire giants and frost giants from the asgard people. We're being put on a 'side,' but we know nothing of the history, nothing of the purpose, nothing to be sure that what happens here affects all worlds.

I actually don't give two shits about my world for the most part. There's maybe a double handful I actually care what happens, and they all know how to jump worlds on their own. If they want to motivate me, telling me to save my world's not the way to do it. Those bastards can rot.

If I could get a word in edgewise with one of these jackasses... no, that wouldn't work.

Even if you do not care for your world, if every world would fall if Asgard should, I would rather not see that, for everyone's sake. I would call it completely absurd, except it is not a far shot from them being able to bring people from every world here. It is a gamble I doubt anyone would really wish to test the other side of, and that makes it a great weapon, if it actually is fake.

They obviously have no intention of telling us much. We're left on our own. So the question is; where does one begin to figure it out?

Oblivion is sometimes more a blessing than some imagine... but I refuse to yield regardless of whether I have something to defend. If something comes for me, they pay for blood in kind.

They may tell us some, but what they say must be tested. I prefer exploring, checking things directly, using my own experiences in the process.

That is the best way to do it.

It's a start at the very least. Look, I'll probably see you around some, but it seems like you've got stuff pretty much well in hand. Don't be a stranger.

[This is... a little odd. Uther actually hasn't met someone new like this in a long time. Or ever, it being in an entirely different world and god knows why she insists on living alone.
