Eighth Song -Video-
[When the device clicks on, Ranka seems to be a little quieter than usual. Her eyes don't have the spark they normally have, and clenched between her hands is something small. When she opens her hands, its revealed to be a harmonica. She brings it to her lips and blows into it. Instead of a silvery note however, it's a jumble of dissonance. It seems to startle her and she almost drops it.]
Ah! He always made this look so simple.
[She quietly sighs and slumps down over the piano bench and rests the harmonica on her lap. She's far from sad, but she's definitely not her usual self.]
I wonder if anyone else has a sibling that they miss.
[Sheryl had come along with Ranka to the theatre today to see some of the other sights of Asgard and to hopefully get a better sense of where some of the things were in their district. She was looking over the rigging near the edge of the stage when she hears Ranka's question about missing siblings.]
Ranka...
[Ranka blinks and then looks over her shoulder and then back at the camera, she gives a smile as she looks down at the harmonica.]
If he were here, then I wouldn't have this.
[She motions to the harmonica. But it seems to deflate her.]
Ozma...Brera...I miss this them both!
[Having heard enough of this depressed prattle that didn't suit Ranka, the diva marches purposefully onto the edge of the stage. She may not have a microphone in her hand but she can hear the acoustics already. Her voice will carry with ease as she can't think of any other way to bolster the idol's spirits than with a song.
She opens her mouth and sings the opening lines of a song that is very near to both of them. Don't give up! Live on!
Ranka hears the song, her hair perking. She stares transfixed on the other. What was she doing moping. Slowly she stands and starts to sing with Sheryl their voices mingling together. They've obviously sang together before. As she turns to move to Sheryl, she places the harmonica on the piano bench turning instead to sing.
The video continues recording as Ranka and Sheryl both continue to sing. Only stopping as Ranka smiles back to her old self as she hugs the older singer tightly the picture blacking out.]

[That... is all he has to comment on the situation.]
[ video ]
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

[And he's telling the truth. His grin is pretty much as wide as it can get at this point.]
[ video ]
Would you be interested in hearing more then?

[She looks over to Sheryl with a wide smile.]

She smiles fondly at Ranka before tilting the girl's chin up so Sheryl can look at her.]
Feeling better?

They had the power to change things through the power of their voices and words. There was nothing the two of them couldn't do together.]
That's good. I don't want my friend, my partner, my rival getting down when we've got a lot of work to do here.

And I... um... I have a sibling that I miss.

[Hearing the other has a sibling makes her smile a little more tempered.]
A brother or sister?

He could sympathize.] And if immersing yourself into music is what helps you, why not do so more?
video;
I think you're right. I think I just needed to think about a lot, but I'm ready to start singing and performing again.
