[At first all that can be seen is a gaping mouth, sharp teeth and a great tongue blocking the view as the ~~four-months-older-than-he-is-in-this-pic~~ Sir Frewen grabs hold of Lancelot's bracelet. With a quick firm command of 'no!' he backs away however and the dog can be seen wagging his tail expectantly. Lancelot looks intently at the screen trying to figure out what exactly it is that has been triggered, while the dog moves to pull at his sleeve, barking in an attempt to regain his attention. His hair and shirt are slightly messy and he is short of breath, but despite the confusion and embarrassment his face is still lit up in exhilaration at the game that has been taking place only seconds before.

And then he runs a hand through his hair, trying to straighten it out as he realizes that more likely than not - people can see him now.]

Should anyone hear this - please forgive me this intrusion, I will be sure to be more careful in the future.

[He hesitates for a moment, uncertain whether he should be saying anything else, but if he's appearing before the network anyway as he suspects he is, he might as well introduce himself.]

My name is Lancelot, I am new to Asgard. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has kindly and patiently explained this city to me, and extend an offer to all citizens of the city be them old or new - if there is anything I can assist you with you need only ask. [With a sharp motion he moves the bracelet just as the dog makes to pounce on it again.]

[He shakes his head]

I am the fortunate one.

It is an unfair burden...I have already spoken at length with Lady Morgana about matters that should not weigh on her. It is only that I...I feel alone, and as if I am being teased by the universe.

It is not unfair if consent has been given, and it has. If I can in any way help lift that burden from you or ease your loneliness, then that is what I wish to do.

[In truth she had always been alone. Surrounded as she was in Camelot by nights and courtiers, she still never let any of them near. After all, she had to hide her true gender. But in this place, it was like some force was stabbing her in the hearth repeatedly and it was a feeling she was so unused to it was overwhelming.]

[Now he is just utterly confused.]

No right to accept? Why would you say a thing like that?

I am a failed King. Despite what anyone says, I accept my sins and understand my punishment. My loneliness is my penitence.

I know naught of what happened to you, but this is a new world. Perhaps it is an opportunity for you to forgive yourself and start anew.

[Perhaps he should take his own advice.]

Anyone would find it difficult to be placed on a throne, especially one who was not raised in a castle.

No, it is not an excuse. It is a reason.

...It is foolish to accept only nobility. A man's worth is not in his parentage or his blood. It is in his spirit, his honor is determined by his nature, not his father or his house.

[He agrees entirely, make no mistake.]

But those are the laws of King Uther, and I broke them. [He won't sugarcoat it] Prince Arthur pardoned me despite my deception. [And would have had his knighthood restored, he knows. It will forever move him that he would argue so passionately in his behalf.]

The more I hear about that man, the more unreasonable and despicable I think he is.

[He wasn't expecting such a reaction, and it especially makes him nervous since the man is here, although he has yet to see him.]

There is logic behind the law...[one he disagrees with but still he doesn't want to badmouth Arthur's father, alright.] To choose the knights from nobility means to choose them from those already loyal to the crown.

[Or that's what was explained to him when he had his heart broken.]

If a man can prove his loyalty, then he deserves the same consideration. The nobility is not an endless supply of men to pull from, and common people deserve to fight to protect their land beside their 'noble' brothers. Blindly holding to tradition is nonsense.

Change does not come easily to most. And I imagine there have not been many who attempted to break the First Code of Camelot.

That is another thing I cannot understand...Uther is king of Camelot? I founded Camelot after my father's death! I would never make such a ridiculous Code.

[He smiles softly at that]

That sounds as far from a failure as one can get, to me.

It is the tragedy that ensued...

[How did this come back to her shame?]

The Kingdom was peaceful for 12 years...but that is all.

Twelve years of peace are no easy feat to accomplish.

And the end was my fault...I tore my kingdom apart.

[she considers her next thought carefully]

What I want beyond all else is to erase myself...so my people can have a real king.

[He pauses to consider what to say next. There is no sugarcoating the fact that a kingdom rises and falls at the decisions made by its king - or queen in this case. And even if there was a way to do it he wouldn't choose it, that would be patronizing and disrespectful.]

You cannot undo the past, and erasing yourself would take away all the good that you've done as well. If you are incapable of leading your kingdom you can step down from the throne or find better counsel. So long as you care for your people - and to me you seem like you do - then you have not truly failed. All you can do is put their well being before your eyes and search for a solution. Dwelling on the past will do you no good.

[And of the last - he speaks with bitter experience.]

I search for a miracle...a miracle that can alter the flow of time. I lay dying until my wish is granted; my time frozen. This is the last thing I can do for the people I love...for my Kingdom.

A miracle? [Wait he understands none of what she's saying now.] Do you mean sorcery?
