[ K' looked into the camera, his almost puzzled expression easy to guess behind the sunglasses he seemed to constantly be wearing. He sat on his bed, with his back against the wall. There was a moment of silence, as if he was confirming that the feed was on, before he spoke. ]

What powers do the rest of you have? [ His gaze shifted downwards, as he brought his right hand up, a red gauntlet covering it. With a few flexes, he dropped it at his side again, before looking back into the video. He had to admit, he was curious. Why didn't he keep his own powers? What was the purpose behind these new ones? ]

Everyone's got something, right?

I heard you can get stronger with these powers. Is that true?

I guess so. I mean, it was in my case, anyway.

Huh. What, do you like, train or something?

Well, yeah, but... [ she pauses a moment to reflect. ] I dunno. I'm way stronger than I was when I first got here, which was just months ago.

Hm. So your powers grow fast, then.

I guess they do. It doesn't make much sense, though. If the gods control how strong we are, too, why not just have us at that level on arrival? We'd win their stupid war faster.

Because they're assholes, that's why. Why else would they kidnap other people to fight for them?

[dualwields]

[ she snorts, crossing her arms and shaking her head. ] I guess you're right.

Hmph. Anyway, thanks for the insight on powers, I guess. I'll probably try working with mine later.

[ she dismisses the thanks with a wave of her hand. ] Try not to kill yourself, all right?
