asgardeventide | 002 - [Video]/Action in Loki District if you wish

[A video feed comes online. It looks like one of the dingiest, grayest and most forgotten parts of the Loki district. The only color is fading back into existence on the frame of Samantha Grey as she fiddles with her bracelet and gives it a thoughtful growl. She doesn't seem to completely notice that she's not wearing a cap right now, her horns visible.

Looking over to her right, the screen shifts just enough to give a view of a house guard in Hel colors. She nods to him before he departs and sighs.]

Thank you.

[There's a grunt and her hand reaches up to pull the cap she doesn't find there down. This makes her look even more annoyed, but ultimately it just gets another shrug. She sits heavily against the wall and looks around.]

So, I suppose this whole gray thing isn't complete bullshit, is it? Not exactly the brightest way to find out about that, I suppose. There really doesn't seem to be a way out of here, either, but I suppose most of you already knew that. Those bastards have us right where they want us, don't they? [She looks very briefly defeated, though her jaw firms quickly enough. She's not one to give up even in hopeless situations. This just requires a new tactic.]

Let's go with "I hope you figure something out." That'll work pretty well for what it is that you're trying to figure out to say. Home's fine if I figure out a way to deal with it. Here's... ok if I can figure out a way to kick one of those bastards' asses and make a place for myself.

There's nothing I 'need' to do back home. Dusk... she'll take care of herself, or she'll be a dumb bitch and get herself killed again. Nothing I can do for her here.

Ugh. I really shouldn't have mentioned her. She's... I guess you'd call her a friend. [Fuck if she knew what to call the girl sometimes. It wasn't like they hadn't tried to kill each other before, multiple times.] She got killed back home... in a really stupid way, and it's real complicated, but I bribed the ferryman to get her a second chance. But, no she wasn't a demon [back then], but I guess... some demons don't always stay dead, no.

That was nice of you. [ The bribing the ferryman, part. Quinn didn't know what it entailed but finding a way to bring her back from the dead? It was good, and Quinn hoped that her friends would do that if they could ]

Is it weird that they don't stay dead?

Thanks... I don't know how much she liked it, but she was a weird girl anyway. Demons cheat. They cheat death, cheat life, pull all kinds of bullshit tricks. It's generally not a good thing, really, but I ... didn't want her to stay dead. It was complicated, really.

It doesn't sound complicated. [ Not the reviving her part, anyway ] You were helping her out, it was good.

Some... [including both she and Dusk] might argue that it was really selfish. But, thanks either way. It's nice to have someone say that at least.

Yeah. Me, I can be pretty damned selfish when I get pissed off enough about something. I was real pissed off that month, about a lot of things.

Not a bad plan in general. I wouldn't worry too much. There's pissing me off, and really pissing me off. The other's tougher to do unless you're planning really stupid things like attacking me. heh.
