asgardeventide | 002 - [Video]/Action in Loki District if you wish

[A video feed comes online. It looks like one of the dingiest, grayest and most forgotten parts of the Loki district. The only color is fading back into existence on the frame of Samantha Grey as she fiddles with her bracelet and gives it a thoughtful growl. She doesn't seem to completely notice that she's not wearing a cap right now, her horns visible.

Looking over to her right, the screen shifts just enough to give a view of a house guard in Hel colors. She nods to him before he departs and sighs.]

Thank you.

[There's a grunt and her hand reaches up to pull the cap she doesn't find there down. This makes her look even more annoyed, but ultimately it just gets another shrug. She sits heavily against the wall and looks around.]

So, I suppose this whole gray thing isn't complete bullshit, is it? Not exactly the brightest way to find out about that, I suppose. There really doesn't seem to be a way out of here, either, but I suppose most of you already knew that. Those bastards have us right where they want us, don't they? [She looks very briefly defeated, though her jaw firms quickly enough. She's not one to give up even in hopeless situations. This just requires a new tactic.]

Hel? Yeah, that's where I met Aradia. Thought I might have seen another one or two roaming around, but I'm not sure.

There are definitely a couple. Have you met any of the Pony girls, yet?

Pony... girls?

[That would be a definite no.]

Yeah. Every so often you'll notice someone make a post on the network referring to people as 'anypony' 'everypony' or 'somepony'. Stuff like that. It's actually pretty interesting - they come from a world where the main sentience is several races of intelligent equine species. Pegasi, Unicorns, regular ponies which they call Earth Ponies, and even Zebra. When they arrive in Asgard, however, they're put into Human bodies.

[Her jaw drops and she just sort of stares at the screen. Her thumb accidentally taps the send button, and there's no words with the message, only her dumbfounded, confused face, along with a thin sort of reedy gasp.]

[He nods.]

That was pretty much my initial reaction. But, I checked it out in the Library. It all checks out. You can find atlases, history books, sociopolitical commentary and even How To guides on how they magically alter and make weather.

That... that is just one of the wierdest damned things I've ever heard of. I swear I think you're pulling my leg. But, after seeing that bug looking guy I think you're probably not.

Well, I can assure you that I'm not. Seriously, I doubt I could make something like that up.

I don't know. Shrooms are potent stuff, buddy.

[Actually, she had to take her mom's word for it too. They didn't work on her well in her world. But, it was a good joke.]
