002 - [Video]/Action in Loki District if you wish

[samantha_grey]

[A video feed comes online. It looks like one of the dingiest, grayest and most forgotten parts of the Loki district. The only color is fading back into existence on the frame of Samantha Grey as she fiddles with her bracelet and gives it a thoughtful growl. She doesn't seem to completely notice that she's not wearing a cap right now, her horns visible.

Looking over to her right, the screen shifts just enough to give a view of a house guard in Hel colors. She nods to him before he departs and sighs.]

Thank you.

[There's a grunt and her hand reaches up to pull the cap she doesn't find there down. This makes her look even more annoyed, but ultimately it just gets another shrug. She sits heavily against the wall and looks around.]

So, I suppose this whole gray thing isn't complete bullshit, is it? Not exactly the brightest way to find out about that, I suppose. There really doesn't seem to be a way out of here, either, but I suppose most of you already knew that. Those bastards have us right where they want us, don't they? [She looks very briefly defeated, though her jaw firms quickly enough. She's not one to give up even in hopeless situations. This just requires a new tactic.]

Oh, no. They may be others, so the saying may be figurative, but... Many take it as a literal. I don't care enough to interfere with the average person's life. That's a lot of effort to put into a minimal gain.

[He shrugs] But that's not really the point. Whether I'm plotting something or not, it'd be wise to just assume that I am. Though whether or not anyone here would even be involved is more important to wonder, in my opinion.

Fair enough, I suppose. I think I'd assumed pretty much that, and you're right. It's not exactly like I'm a big fish or have anything worth worrying about. [Do not get complacent girl. This is still Satan, damnit.]

Why wouldn't there be people in this place involved in your plotting? I know I've seen at least another demon running around. [Ok, an ugly half-demon.]

[apostatises]

[He actually laughs]

Demons? That's funny. Demons came to Hell to be ruled by me and live in freedom. I did not ask for them or their loyalty, and very few would ever be fit to stand beside me, much less take a part in my plans.

[samantha_grey]

[Blink blink]

I don't really know what to say to that. Well, paint me the one not really up on internal politics down there. Staying out of their business was usually my MO. I'll just have to take your word for it big guy.

[She almost asked about her father, almost. But, there was no need to tip that hand, and at the same time this might be a different Lucifer, or were they all part of the one Lucifer? Who knew?]

[apostatises]

At the very least, you have nothing to worry about. My plans are my own, which means I wouldn't entrust them to anyone here.

[samantha_grey]

I'll worry all the same. [No point hiding that.] But, if lil old me has no reason to trust people, there's no way in hell the king of the mountain's going to trust folks just because they say they're on his side.

I'm probably going to stay out of your hair for the time being. [forever if she had any say. She really wasn't quite sure how to handle him being here.] This's been weird, big guy. Real weird.

[apostatises]

I'm sure it has been. My overall amiable nature usually comes as a surprise.

[But he doesn't allow commentary on that, moving on, because he is vaguely interested enough to want to meet her in person.] Come by Lux sometime, if you're inclined to drinks. I'll provide one on the house. And you'll find the company... interesting, to say the least. My bar seems to gather the most intriguing individuals here, appropriately.

I'll think about it, Lucifer. Sticking my head into the Cobra's den's always risky if the mongoose isn't feeling sure of itself yet. But, I'll think about it.

[Don't make dinner reservations just yet. She's still scared spitless.]

[And he laughs, not a chuckle, but actual laughter—And that's probably a bit scarier than anything else]
