In my world there's magic everywhere, it's not common in pets but it happens. Hunter could change forms, he could be a puppy dog or a full grown adult.

Yes. Not all the magic is the same because it came from very different sort of gods, and thus if affects people in different ways.

What are those gods like?

There's so many of them, and barely no God looks like a human...it's hard to describe them. My mother, as an earth goddess, has plants and animals traits.

Three of them. My mother, A desert goddess and then a Volcano god. He looks a bit like Venom.
